Horrible situation but words should mean something. I don't see at all how these shootings were "execution style".

I wonder what kind of spin Al Sharpton will have on this. The Mayor has really stepped into the pile on this one after publicly backing the protestors over the police. President Obama owns some of this as well with some of his off the cuff comments lately.
Well done gentlemen, well done.

My bad- shot and wounded his girlfriend.
I ask again- what is there to spin? He was a suicidal criminal that decided to take some cops with him.
Well, maybe there is a little spin coming from a few folks trying to assign blame to other people than the person who pulled the trigger.....

Nobody owns any of this except the guy that did it. He tried to link it to something people care about hoping to be some kind of vigilante but he isn't. He's an opportunistic nut job.

I think the shoot cops thing came to him after he shot his GF(ex?). Men who do this often have shooters remorse so perhaps he was trying to get shot and killed by the police versus his own hand.

Some people are just angry and violent- so they find a reason to justify their actions. The last few bunches of cop killers were anti-government sovereign citizen types- in other words angry and violent people looking for a reason.
So all this incident does is make things worse for the people protesting for change, and for the police that are understandably nervous. The bad cops, the 'us vs. them' group are going to be even shittier, and more incidents will occur. Exactly the opposite of the goal.
So IMO if anyone want's to blame the mayor, the president, or Al and Jesse- they are contributing to the 'us vs. them' problem.

I'd like to add that people that are 'shooting at the badge' are just as bad as the cops that are prejudiced and mistreat people.
Both have dehumanized the other- the 'us vs. them' mentality. The two officers killed might have been some of the best in the bunch, honest to the job, tried to do it professionally, etc. just like most people walking down the street are not armed or holding drugs.
Still in the middle of this some idiot undercover cop runs up and starts punching a 12 year old that was already being cuffed by 4 uniformed officers that were in complete control. Enough already- it is starting to look like there are thugs on both sides of the law- time to admit there is a problem. The cops already had it in for the mayor since he wants to end stop and frisk- well folks guess who is on the side of the Constitution on that one. So no surprise when you pull their reigns they get angry- tough shit I say. I have a right to walk down a street and not be hassled by some bully in a badge picking out people to screw with. Leave people alone unless they are actually breaking a law.

Geeze man, can't you stop your anit-cop diatribe for one thread? By all accounts these two were honest men putting their lives on the line for their community every day and the post above just insults them and the profession.
They were gunned down and targeted because they were cops. Have a little respect.

"Late Saturday night, President Obama condemned the “murder of two police officers in New York City,” noting that officers who serve their communities “deserve our respect and gratitude every single day. Tonight, I ask people to reject violence and words that harm, and turn to words that heal — prayer, patient dialogue, and sympathy for the friends and family of the fallen.”" 2 N.Y.P.D. www.foxnews.com/us/2014/12/21/gunman-who-shot-and-killed-2-nypd-officers-had-troubled-past-mother-says/
Brinsley has been arrested 15 times in Georgia, and four in Ohio for assorted crimes, Boyce said. In posts on social media, the gunman expressed anger against the United States government at himself, Boyce added.
The silver handgun used in Saturday’s shooting was bought at a pawn shop in Georgia in 1996 and authorities are now working with the ATF to determine how it ended up in Brinsley’s hands.
Boyce said Brinsley's mother believed he had undiagnosed mental problems and may have been on medication later in life but detective said they were still trying to determine if he had a mental illness. He attempted to hang himself a year ago, police said.
Like I said- excuses.

I'm confused. What did the GF have to do with his protesting chokeholding? Was she just an oops I shot my girlfiend so now I'm gonna kill me some cops? I haven't kept completely on top of this so anyone here feel free to inform me if you wish.

I read and understood bully with a badge very clearly. That topic, IMHO didn't need to be brought into this thread. Why you found it necessary to do so in this specific thread speaks to my point.
