I disagree. Instead let's mandate that only criminals can be police officers. That way they'll know who the bad guys are...

Reminds me of Stossel about these raids- where a couple that were actually CIA I think had their house raided because of what was in their garbage- residue from making tea.
Goes right back to the other thread- these kinds of raids should be a last resort not SOP.
And TX recently made a good call when a cop got shot by the homeowner during such a raid and it went self defense.

Think about that- 6-8 people in black bust your door down and you have done nothing wrong and have no reason to suspect it is the police- at that point you are within your rights to drop the shotgun on them and then they are going to kill you- they even see so much as a glint of metal they are going to kill you- and the whole time they have not a care in the world about a startled homeowner or someone in fear for their life.
Only one way to stop this- TAKE BACK THE POWER WE GAVE THEM and put an end to these raids in all but extreme circumstances, and even then they should make the police chief and a judge sign off on it.

People need to stop demanding laws for every damn thing. That type of attitude has criminalized every annoyance in life like selling loose cigs. If u demand laws then dont be surprised when police enforce the laws to the point if death.

I agree... The number of laws criminalizing things that shouldn't even BE crimes... is... well... almost criminal.

The war on drugs is a failure, and I have some sympathy for the police in that they are stuck in the middle- pawns in a high stakes failed experiment in prohibition (only this time, notably- without having gone through the trouble of amending the Constitution to do it).
