I have a ton of books I would like to sell Anyone ever use any of the online sites to sell books?
I found an article that lists some but wondering if people have experience with any....
*bookscouter.com *Cash4books *Powell's books *half.com *Blue Rectangle *CKY books *knetbooks.com
I haven't thoroughly looked at any of these. From what I can tell, you enter the ISBN and it will tell you they price they are willing to pay if they want them. Some look like they ship free as well. Most can get $$ back on your paypal or by check.
Any feedback would be great!!

I used half.com when I was selling my daughter's college school books. I had to pay for shipping, but it was built into the price. They give you a recommended price to ask for. I never had any problems. What type of books are you selling?

I used to sell on half.com. I usually take books I have bought used back to the library foundation for their sale.
I now check books out of the library and skip buying.

Now that my daughter is done with her undergrad, I never buy books! I have always been a huge fan of the library!

For college textbooks, we have sold a bunch back to Amazon through their book buyback program. The best thing is that they tell you the price they are willing to pay, and if you agree, they send you a prepaid label (I think you have to get your own envelope). When they get the book and accept it, they give you an Amazon credit.
One time when I procrastinated, I got a better price by about $5 when I didn't sell back at the end of the semester.

Don't assume old textbooks are worthless (although most of them are, even library won't take them)... But one of husbands old construction textbooks I got over 30$ for, years after he was out of college. So I'd always check. And yes, I picked up a few recent textbooks at the end of conference, free used materials grab fest last year and I looked up trade in for 2, but waited too long and when I went back I actually got more for them... But then I've also had it happen where I waited too long and they paid less, so it's hard to judge.
