Yup, well, if you don't teach your child not to trespass or use things that don't belong to them, it should be on you, their parent, if they get hurt.

Exactly. I hate "attractive nuisance" laws.
What's next... a pretty young lady can't tan in her front yard (maybe that's the only part of the yard with "good sun")... because, by laying out in a bikini, she's an "attractive nuisance"?
Maybe if people would teach their kids to keep to their own things or things that they have PERMISSION to use, we wouldn't need "attractive nuisance" laws.

Yeah right- because all kids obey their parents 100% of the time
You are an adult, and you know how kids are- so the duty is on you to take reasonable steps. There is no 'what's next'- this isn't a new thing.
I guess if you hate having to have some small amount of responsibility for your property you should rent.
