The library has a physical space and a digital space. They are both great, and neither one replaces the other, but enhances it. Communities are blessed to have both, and people should use and support these wonderful and necessary resources.

I buy from the used book store. Sometimes I'll order from Barnes & Noble but only if it is a new book I want.

A lot of the books I buy are non-fiction. Things I will reference again and again. I do have a lot of fiction though, but I don't buy as much of that. My step-mother was a buyer for Barnes and Noble for many years and she would give us stacks of books all the time.

I get a lot of the free kindle books from amazon but then buy the next ones in the series. I occasionally get books from the library but prefer my kindle.

I haven't bought a book in a very long time. When I first got my Nook some number of years ago, my library's selection of ebooks was fairly limited. But they've done a fantastic job of increasing the selection, and I have yet to run out of things to checkout.
I can't get everything I'd like to read via ebooks, but I just keep a list and check periodically.

Not usually.
Library for 75% + of the books I read and new ones for my DD.
I do buy 'reference' type books, like hiking books for WA, etc. Things I will refer to again and again.
I much prefer the rental system of the library. And with online requesting, I just say which book I want and they set it aside for me. Takes less than 5 minutes to stop and pick it up. And my DD loves going to the library and reading a bunch of books and taking a few home. With kids, that would really add up and you don't really know what books they'll end up LOVING.

I buy books at Books A Million. I should take them out of our local library. It's very small and I should patronize it.
I have a kindle but I like the feel of a book in my han
I have a stack to read right now. When DD and I travel I take books. Lots of nights we listen to music, I read and she plays on her computer.
I love the kindle for travel. I often read lots of different books at one time so the kindle is great for loading up on lots of great books before going on a trip. My library limits me to 5 ebooks at a time, but I can use DH's account to get another 5 to my kindle as well.

I use the library in the county seat. If they don't have a book I go online and search for it in their multi-county library system and have always had luck finding what I want. I don't buy books. Minimalist tendencies for sure. i do the same. Even at $1/book I could NOT afford my reading habits. I read 5-7 books/week.

I buy Kindle ones and get free ones. I also buy some books. I prefer some books in the paper form, mostly things I have to concentrate on or things like cookbooks that I will use repeatedly. I get a lot of used books from Amazon. I have stacks of real books and on my Kindle.
For the things that I buy and spend more than a couple bucks on I've checked the library. The last Stephanie Plum had 500+ reservations two weeks before it was released.

I bought all the books on my Kindle and go back and reread them from time to time.

I went to the library today and checked out 4 books. Then I went online to Aspencat and found I can download a lot of the books I wanted to read but didn't want to buy from 3M Cloud Library. I forgot I am like a child in a toy store when I go to the library.

Dolphin...I also use the library in my very small town. I can order books on line, and they will get it from another library. If you think it takes too long, when you're done reading two of your four, order a few more. I have a constant running pile of books. You can also renew on line. What series are you reading? I tend to find a good author, then read all of their books. Right now I'm hooked on Laine Morrisey.

When I find a book by an author I like/LOVE I will check to see if there are other books by him/her I have not read & if yes put them on a list I keep in my purse to grab whenever I can.
Today I put in a reserve for the new Tom Clancy that went on sale just this week.
My library has online access for finding, reserving, downloading & renewing books, movies, games.......

I typed the wrong name of my current author! It should be Liane Moriarty. So far the ones I read are good.

I like the cozy mysteries. Something light and fun. I am reading the Joanne Fluke series right now.

The first place I check for books is the digital library, then the regular library, then kindle. There are only a handful of books I'd ever reread, so I rarely buy hard copies. Occasionally I'll buy an art book by an artist I love, or a reference/guide book but that is more on impulse than something I'd seek out.

I happily buy books. We use our library a lot but it's lmited. Books a million, amazon, Barnes and Nobel it's all good and money very well spent as they can be read again and again.

I generally read free books on my Kindle. Some have been the first of a series, but not all. I have bought the rest of small series, but not usually.
When it comes to photo books, I have to have the hard cover.
Our library in this very small town is only open two afternoons a week. I have to pay to use any other library in the county.
