I like it, too, tiki. We were fortunate enough to see live performances while travelling in Sri Lanka. It's a very interesting place with much to see, do and learn.  |

I think you'll enjoy it. I climbed a big rock out in the middle of nowhere, we saw wild elephants and tame ones. Big gibbons at the beach. The tooth relic. Just all sorts of really interesting things. I enjoyed it thoroughly and the people were lovely to us.

Very nice, @tiki - I've enjoyed going to the multi-cultural fairs here and watching the Indian/Sri Lankan dancers.
I worked with a lady friend who gave me a special sari and taught my how to wrap, gather & tuck the long piece of fabric into a "dress". I still have it packed and stored away in my sewing trunk. I attended an Indian wedding about 15 years ago and wore it.

It was definitely a long, hot climb but well worth it for the view from the top. My late husband was afraid of heights, so there's no way he was going up on that rock!  |

It's pretty steep in some places, and there are a lot of stairs, but it's doable. I really hope you do get to go. The view is absolutely gorgeous. |
