A Lebanese-based radical cleric notorious for his fiery sermons and support for jihad soon will deliver a fatwa regarding “U.S. intervention in Muslim lands,” according to a controversial Islamist group that says it plans to hold a pro-shari’a demonstration at the White House on Thursday. A Web site promoting Thursday’s so-called “Shariah4America” rally says the fatwa – an Islamic religious injunction – will be delivered by Omar Bakri Mohammed. “With the unwarranted interference of America in the Middle East, and having been left with no other alternative, the impending fatwa will clarify the reality of the crusade against Islam and Muslims as well as the appropriate response to a very bitter foreign policy,” it says. The site describes Bakri as “one of the leading scholars of the Islamic world.” In fact, the Syrian-born fundamentalist cleric is better known in Britain, where he lived from 1986 to 2005, as a radicalizer of young Muslims and an apologist for terrorists. cnsnews.com/news/article/organizers-shari-america-rally-anticipat

Prime Minister Julia Gillard - Australia**
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..
Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote:** *
* **'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.. Take It Or Leave It.*
*I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ' **
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'
'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'
'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'** *
* **'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.' ** ** Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves in Canada & USA , WE will find the courage to start speaking and voicing the same truths. *

Also from the article: "While it is not clear if the planned event in D.C. will go ahead, several groups are planning counter-demonstrations on Thursday. They include the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD), whose president Zuhdi Jasser denounced the event as “an affront to very idea of America.”
Jasser in a statement challenged American Muslims to take a stand against the shari’a-promoting ideology.
“The silence of American Muslims against the Islamic state and political Islam allows radical groups like this to speak for all Muslims,” he said."
IT's nice to see American Muslims making it clear this guy doesn't speak for all Muslims.
Ed, hon, why don't you make mention of Mr. Jasser in your post?

Of course Mr. Private Investigator. Practically everyone I know holds the same principles. It is a good sign some leaders are starting to talk about it.

I think I'll wait to see how many actually attend this event (provided it gets off the ground) before I panic and prepare to evacuate.

There is a radical Muslim cleric who currently lives in the UK, I think his name is Chowdry, not sure if that is spelled correctly.
He is planning something like this. I heard him interviewed on the radio Sunday night as I was driving home from the little woman's place.

Better yet, you should wait until they get what they want, then you will have no right to protest it, since, as a woman, you will cease to be a citizen. See, problem solved!

Just as I thought, from the link in the original post, I heard this guy Choudary being interviewed:
Choudary has long been portrayed in British media as a publicity-seeking rabble rouser, who uses shock tactics to make headlines. The Shariah4America Web site features doctored photographs of the Statue of Liberty draped in a Muslim veil and the White House sporting a dome, minarets and Islamic flag. His association with Bakri goes back more than a decade, and the two reportedly co-founded al-Muhajiroun.
Choudary at one stage also chaired a London-based organization called the Muslim Cultural Society (Bakri was a trustee) until the British government’s Charities Commission revoked its charitable status. The supposedly charitable group acknowledged raising funds and recruiting fighters for jihad in places like Chechnya, Kashmir, Bosnia and Afghanistan.

how many non foreign born "American muslims" are there? not counting malcom X muslims(the ones who don't support sharia law/islamofaction). let's hope they show up to counter this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_the_United_StatesFrom the 1880s to 1914, several thousand Muslims immigrated to the United States from the Ottoman Empire, and from parts of South Asia; they did not form distinctive settlements, and probably most assimilated into the wider society.[4]
and they weren't a problem because of the bold text. Once very small, the Muslim population of the US increased greatly in the 20th century, with much of the growth driven by rising immigration and conversion, and a comparatively high birth rate.[5][6] In 2005, more people from Islamic countries became legal permanent United States residents — nearly 96,000 — than in any year in the previous two decades.[7][8] very little or no assimilation - equals problem. American Muslims come from various backgrounds, and are one of the most racially diverse religious group in the United States according to a 2009 Gallup poll.[9] Native-born American Muslims are mainly African Americans who make up 24% of the total Muslim population. Many of these have converted to Islam during the last seventy years. Conversion to Islam in prison,[10] and in large urban areas[11] has also contributed to its growth over the years.real "American muslims" so 75% of "American muslims" are foreigners who came here or their offspring.

He cancelled the one for today but ... but ... but we are going to have Million Muslim March on ... on ... (Hey I know a great date) July 4th (that will get them screaming ). Any chance it will actually take place?

Yes, good for them. We should pray for their safety. We know that muslims that stray from the message of jihadist violence face death threats.

You are intimidated by someone announcing that they are going to hold a "Million Muslim March" on July 4th? Hell, I wouldn't be intimidated if they actually "held" it. Not intimidated even if they held it and they had a million people there. But I am not as easily intimidated as some people.
