We're in the 70s and I'm in shorts. I like to announce this once in a while in the cooler months to get back at people who are in the 70s in the summer when we're battling 50+ days over 105 degrees.  |

When I got to Denver last Saturday and it was snowing and the rental car said it was 10 degrees. When I came back to the hotel that evening, it was 0.
When I landed in Madison on Thursday, it was cold. I'd guess maybe 20, but it was windy. Been like that since I got home. Tonight we are to have freezing rain. I would prefer snow to that.
And it's only November. Way too early for it to be like this.
I was told that while I was gone, there was a record low high for 3 straight days and we are now in the 10th day of below freezing weather. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and Sunday, so that means it should be above freezing. Then snow on Monday.

last winter we in metro Chicago had a BUNCH of days colder than where Donna F is (Anchorage). I think most of this past week its also been colder here than there since several nights were down in the single digits.

Yesterdays was 45 F. Today will be about the same then back to the frigid cold.
The gripe: The streets are sloppy making the cars dirty. The ideal is to get the car washed at the demarcation line of just freezing the streets so the car stays clean. Yet warm enough not to freeze everything shut. Just a few drops of liquid frozen on the door jam and they will not open.
Just remember, it can be 70 degrees indoors.
