We live in the land of the home office of WMT, I received the email either yesterday or early today. I had a lot of refunds based on Walgreens. We don't have CVS or Rite Aid around here, so it is a little disappointing.
I'll still do it, but wonder if I will continue to receive the benefits.

Welllllllll the fun is over a bit. I got an email saying that they are changing the rules and will no longer match the drug store chains, only grocery and dollar stores. It is kind of odd because it seems like the drug store chains were really scaling back on their deals. Also will no longer be matching produce I looked back at some of my receipts and about half my savings was from drug store matches. But since I just moved to an area that has an ALDI, I think my Walmart matching should be better I haven't gotten that email yet. Is it just for Savings Catcher that they aren't price matching or for all price matching?
I'm hoping yours is a regional policy change.
I don't think it affects price matching. Savings catcher matches are based on the store to shop in. And I'm pretty sure we are in the same region, definitely the same state.

They haven't updated the website yet. What was interesting is that they said that alcohol wasn't part of the Savings catcher. But I bought champagne at Christmas and got back $.98 from somewhere.
I like the program, but I never really trust it. PM at the register gives me immediate money back . . . particularly as they don't include Publix in my area as part of the savings catcher. To me, it was just a backup because I don't really look at the ads at the dollar stores.
I have $22.70, though, thanks to the Bluebird card. It is a little more toward Christmas with another baby coming.

I had $10.30 and added enough from Swagbucks GC to make it $25 then I ordered a plastic card they will mail me. Easier to swipe at check out. I don't think they catch everything but a couple bucks here and there is okay, it all adds up.

I got the email too, we're in the same state but not close together I don't think.

I got 98 cents today . Since the first 12.50 or so was doubled thanks to Bluebird, I may end up with $50 by Christmas. It is hardly a fortune, but it might buy a couple of presents for those eight and soon-to-be-nine grandchildren I have.

Christmas is part of our personal escrow account, and it's gotten much easier now that the kids are older and we just give them checks. This past year even their stocking stuffers were gift cards to someplace my DIL recommended. When we were still buying gifts, the spending had a tendency to get way out of hand and far over what was budgeted.
Nice going on the gift card idea SA.

Nice going on the gift card idea SA. Yes, we noticed the spending getting out of hand this past Christmas as the kids are getting older. We do a Christmas Club account throughout the year; I opened it because my favorite teller asked and I know that sort of stuff is part of their evaluation. We really like it, though.
Personal escrow does the same thing, of course, BG.

Our escrow account just keeps getting more and more items listed in it. Using YNAB has really (after all these years) at least showed us a better way to handle the monthly income. Except for you I haven't heard the words Christmas Club in years. Whatever its called, it works.

Following up from my Monday post: Finally had time to stop in at WW to redeem the points this morning. The first stop I made was to the Customer Service counter to ask that the pieces of paper be transferred to a card (an out of state friend told me they do this, it was difficult for the staff, but they got it done). One employee had no idea what to do, and the other two gals behind the counter said it didn't work when they tried it in the past, but the paper versions would work at check out. So, I successfully bought a double pack of ibuprofen for .62 out of pocket.

Is anyone else tracking their total with the Savings Catcher? Thanks to the earlier Bluebird bonus, I am now up to $32.50. I am averaging 75 cents a week in free money. Lol. But I do most of the price matching at time of purchase.

I'm now up to $18.47, my last price match was $2.16. I'll keep doing it until WMT decides to cancel this. I buy a lot of generic products so it's difficult to actually price match.

I have $5.85 I think? I don't shop there a lot as the ones closest to my house are torture.

Cumulative I am around $8. We'd have more, but I do our major monthly grocery shopping elsewhere.

I'm am up to about $55, about $15 was when they were doubling.
I do most of my grocery shopping there , but my household is down to 2 adults most of the time.
I pretty much stopped price matching just let the savings catcher pick it up. I just moved to my current house and there are some stores on my price match list that I have never been to.

Mine, too, but WM only price matches major stores. There are a few mom-and-pop stores around me. They also don't PM Publix here ... Only FL and the Gulf. So I price match what I can and let WM pick up what I miss.

After cashing out the points in March (?) for a purchase, they are beginning to rebuild again. I'm up to $2.42 or so.

I've used some of mine, especially when it was doubling. That was about a total of $60, I'm up to about $9 this time.

I just entered another receipt today, but since I cashed in the $18 or so a few months ago, I've gotten a little lazy with the receipts. I think I now have about $2.15 built up. Still, if I would pay more attention, it's better than nothing.
Since they eliminated the drug stores, we only have 1 other store and an Aldi to compare to, so not getting as much as before.

An update: my goal was $50 by Christmas, and I think we will make it. We are up to $48+ although some of that was doubling. I now have a goal for it, though. My IPad is school-issued, and I am retiring in 3.5 years. If the program lasts, I am saving toward my own retirement gift. Actually, stuff like this motivates me.

I got up to $75 but a lot of that was when they were doubling. Also I'm getting less since they stopped produce and drug store matching. Most of my savings seem to be soda. My DH loves Dr Pepper and there is a local crappy chain that usually has it on sale. I can just get at Walmart and use savings catcher.
I do a lot of things that are simple and you accumulate money over time. Savings catcher takes about 2 seconds to scan. I do unpromising for online shopping, just a few extra clicks and I get $100 a year or so that goes directly to DD student loan.

I almost started a thread about little things you could do to save money. I've forgotten most of what I was going to post, but I do remember two. I called Directv to get some credits extended. So it kept our bill "down" to the obscene $120 a month. It is almost all for DH. The other was to call cable, which bundles our internet and home phone service. We have to keep the home phone service because of DH's medical device. I think another one was to tel you guys that Amazon has a price-matching guarantee that last 7 days. I didn't know this and just called because the price dropped by 50%, and I hadn't even received it yet. I've now done it twice.
