(I skimmed old SS threads, and thought we'd talked about this before...?) Do you participate in Wally World's Savings Catcher? Have you redeemed rewards yet? I was skeptical about this program, because in the past I hadn't had luck with U-Promise and others. For competitive prices, there are very few stores to choose from here-the nearest Rite Aid and Target is 30 miles away, and the nearest Walgreen's is 60 miles away in the other direction. I just started inputting receipts about 6 weeks ago into the Savings Catcher online program, and was ready to give up, but the system finally found some savings for us. It's just a few bucks here and there, but the result will be a gift card.

So far I've received $12.46 back from WMT. This doesn't work if you're buying generic products, but named brands it will. It also works on identical products that are advertised at a lower price the week the recipe it for. You have 7 days to enter all your receipts.
I see it as a win/win situation. I don't have to look through ad and run to Wags and Harps (local grocery) to save .02 on 1 item. And I have received that tiny amount on one receipt.
I'm letting my cash build up and will put it on a WMT card when it hits $20.

We are participating and have gotten one price catcher around $1.50. My DIL works there and recommended it. Every dollar you can get back or for free is one less dollar you have to work for.

I have not participated & actually cannot. I do not have a smart phone & do NOT want to have $$ tied up in electronic savings. i want my deals/savings right at the checkout line.

You don't need a smart phone to participate. I have an iPhone 5 but didn't d/l the app. The website is: Walmart.com/savingscatcher. You do need a user name & log-in but since I get some of my RXs from there I already had that. And the one nice things WMT doesn't do in overwhelm anyone with emails.
You can have the money saved put directly into a WMT gift card, print it out and take it with you as a coupon when checking out. I choose to let it build up until it's a useful amount instead of $.10.

I started doing it a couple of weeks ago. It really only compares the advertised prices so something can be cheaper somewhere else, but it won't catch it because it isn't advertised. It also doesn't catch Winn Dixie's and Publix's BOGO sales in my area although it supposedly catches the Publix ones in Florida. It is limited to the major players whereas my newspaper often has circulars from mom-and-pop stores that run specials on soft drinks, canned goods, etc. that I buy. I just price match myself using the newspaper circulars. I did get $4.00 the first week because it price matched the Ensure to Kmart, where I never look. But otherwise I've gotten 12 cents in 3 weeks. I won't be retiring on this savings.

I have received cash back so far from: Wags, Harps and Aldi. Granted, one time is was a whopping $0.2, but having over $12 returned.....I just figure why not? It takes me less than 2-3 minutes to enter the receipt number and within 3 days I've received an email telling me how much if any has been credited to my account.
We also have a WMT credit card as that gives us an automatic discount on gasoline anywhere from .05 per gallon to .15 per gallon depending on the current program. Since both our cars use premium, why not save a little more money?

I've got about $8 so far. I try to watch prices and still price match when I can, but a lot of times there are deals that I am not aware of.
To me it is super easy, just take a minute to enter your receipt, and any money you get it like "free money". Also one time there was a receipt left in my cart from previous shopper, I entered that and got $1 or so.

I access the savings catcher website through my computer. You just plug in the tracking number, and they look for savings. I'm up to just under $2 I wouldn't have had otherwise.

Just got $0.52 back this week. I am also doing the Bluebird thing where you double your money back for the next couple of months. I will get an actual card to load it onto rather than printing out gift cards.
There is a Neighborhood Market about to open really close to us. I was getting real excited about it (it will be the only store on my way home from work, and the only store within a mile of my house and much easier to get to than the regular Walmart. But there is a good possibility that we may be moving for a better job and won't get to go to Neighborhood Market here...

I've decided I like this just because of DH. He doesn't price match or use a coupon unless I specifically give him one. So he has to give me all his Walmart receipts.
I got back $1.98 from his trip midweek for some Starbucks k-cups. It makes me feel better if Walmart helps me catch the good deals although I usually get nothing back because I have price matched almost everything.
I'm up to $7.52. Is anyone doing the Bluebird doubling thing?
Edited: Maybe it's not Bluebird. It is some sort of card, though.

I was just credited with another $.89. My grand total for the year is $15.06. I redeemed $3.50 before I understood that I could just let it build up.

And here I thought I was doing so well. I'm now up $16.04. I don't buy a lot of name brand products however, so my last one was $.98 from a receipt that totaled $143.00.
Taz!

I am up to $12.35, which is $24.70 on my BlueBird card. I've decided to save these rewards towards next year's Christmas. I have eight grandchildren, remember.
I still price-match, though. I don't entirely trust the system. One week I bought bread that was evidently on sale at Target for .98 cheaper. I bought it again on Saturday of the same week, but it didn't price-match for another .98 even though the Target sale was still valid.
For me, it's basically good for the store ads I don't scan like Rite-Aid (not on my way anywhere) and Kmart (ditto).

I've been using it, and the Bluebird. I'd say about $30 actual savings, not counting the double. I spent that much not long ago and I have about $16 now. I'll be sad when the doubling ends.
Beware that it doesn't do stuff like weighed meats if you buy them do your price matching at the register or you won't get it at all. The exceptions are in the fine print somewhere on the website.

OK, explain the Bluebird card to me and how do I get it and use it. Can I continue to put money onto it each time I get some?

OK, explain the Bluebird card to me and how do I get it and use it. Can I continue to put money onto it each time I get some? When you get the "savings," there is an option to redeem. Bluebird is one of the options (the other is the Walmart thing). Until 2/28, whatever you redeem is doubled. After that, it is just added. I add it each time so yes, you can continue to put money on it.
I worried at first that there would be a hit to my credit score but no. You do have to wait, though, until American Express sends you a physical card to redeem. (Maybe not online--I didn't explore that.) It doesn't take long. You can use the Bluebird card anywhere if you load it with other funds, but not with the Walmart Savings Catcher funds.
I am going to simply accumulate rewards to the Bluebird card until November. Then I will use what's there to fund some of the grandkids' Christmas. Or the Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners. Or whatever. Nickeling and diming just doesn't impress me. I actually prefer to get my savings as price matching because it is a sure thing and saves a little on sales tax, too.
I will, however, take any savings that is so easy.

Welllllllll the fun is over a bit.
I got an email saying that they are changing the rules and will no longer match the drug store chains, only grocery and dollar stores. It is kind of odd because it seems like the drug store chains were really scaling back on their deals. Also will no longer be matching produce
I looked back at some of my receipts and about half my savings was from drug store matches.
But since I just moved to an area that has an ALDI, I think my Walmart matching should be better

Is it just for Savings Catcher that they aren't price matching or for all price matching?
I'm hoping yours is a regional policy change.
