unfortunately, he appears to be a Muslim, and in light of what is going on in Canada, this is a bit unnerving.

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

It's gonna happen. ISIS is working very, very hard spreading their hate through the internet. There are those disenfranchised people who'll fall for it, just as there are those who fall for about anything out there. It's scary but it's our world today.

I hate to make assumptions (yeh, I know VB makes assumptions) but the attacks in Canada and the US seem to be from people who were unstable before their conversion, so I will not say this is necessarily a Islamic problem, but more of a mental health issue problem. Now as far as ISIS in the Middle East, I will not give them a pass on mental health.

Or you could actually watch those that are converting and see if they're ok mentally. It's one thing to be born one, it's another to convert. Conversion isn't an easy process so someone has to be very determined.

Just as we have our weirdos and fringe elements, those in the Middle East have their weirdos and fringe elements. I don't find that unusual, considering we're all human beings.

You don't even have to get the book or learn the secret handshake. I realize that religions can attempt to have rules and gatekeepers that a "true" convert would be attentive of, but how many of these marginal types go through a formal process?
