Ya think? Yet still, he gets a lot of mainstream acceptance from the black community, which I really don't understand. Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright gave Farrakhan the "Trumpeter Award" saying that Farrakhan "truly epitomizes greatness". What I was thinking a I read the article, he wasn't at the podium preaching to a empty room with no one there but I am sure it was filled with his supporters and I am sure after every sentence there was heard ' Hallelujah ", Hallelujah " from Men, Woman, Children , emulating their elders . old and young and most likely no one leaving their seats to leave the gathering.{sigh}

I'm black and I don't get that either. The man appears to me to be just full of hatred - has seemed that way to me for as long as I can remember.

Actually, on this board I'm pretty sure the conservatives hold that monopoly Actually on this board there is a nice distribution vs the old, old board of both sides , as well as some who are semi neutral meaning they try to discuss the topics brought up with out having a pre conceived thought on the topics under discussion. On the conservative side off the top of my head I can give you 7 who are quite vocal on the right side, which gives that side a neat group to state their thoughts. How many more one needs I don't know. I will suggest, naturally being from the middle to the left, a calmer expression of the topics under discussion from the left and if the right would try that, not being so adamant in bringing up what to what I expressed above as more crap on a topic that needed no such designation, the right might get a bit more respect when they express their thoughts. Are there any who are members here who can discuss from the right side intelligently and strongly their feelings. In fact make points that rational middle to the left would have to consider strongly as making sense and while not giving in completely, they would make their point in the discussions with little trouble, and in a impressive way. So far , except for a few excursions here, they seem to be sitting on the side lines and observing or have given up on the site as , what I believe , a waste of time , and IMHO it is not because of the left leaning members here. They had no problem in discussions with those from that side, making their points easily and many times holding the high ground all the way through the discussions. That is my opinion, take it for what you will. Do I think they . those from the right, would take that advice. Absolutely not. |
