SF GIANTS WIN IT IN THE 18TH INNING!!

OMG, what a game!!  It tied the record for the longest post season game in innings and broke the record for the longest post season game in time it took to play.

The Giants were down 1-0 for the majority of the game.  They were down to their last out in the bottom of the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd.  Pablo Sandoval sends the ball to the edge of left field and a run is scored tying the game.  The Giants would have gone ahead 2-1, but Buster Posey was called out at home.

It took the equivalent of another entire game (9 innings) before Brandon Belt would hit a home run to put the Giants up 2-1.  The Nationals could not answer in the bottom of the 18th and the Giants go ahead 2-0 in the best of 5 series!!

GO GIANTS!!

That was some game. The manager for the Nationals should not have yanked his starter, dumb move (and I was saying that when he did it, not after the fact when it proved to be wrong).

When I saw the Nats put their starter in at the of the top of the 9th I thought we were doomed.  As soon as the manager took him out, I knew we had a chance.

I noticed the other thread, but thought 18 innings deserved a thread of its own.
