But, some of the dogs fight back.

Awww. Obviously, the best answer was to share. Everybody gets a bath that way!

I hate to break it to the dogs, but the cats were thoroughly enjoying the "sleigh rides".

Some were, but cats hate to be jostled, so eventually, the doggses won, especially the little poodle. Of course, my favorite pair near the end, when the chihuahua acquiesces and winds up being licked by the kitty. I love it when he just lays his little head on her tummy and starts enjoying his washing. It's so sweet.

We used to have a beagle and two cats - the cats ignored the dog, for the most part, but the dog would try to be friendly with the cats. I remember once, the beagle walked past the calico and managed to give her a quick lick on her face in passing. The calico didn't move but reared her head back and had the funniest look on her face - just like some stuffy old biddy who smelled a fart in church.
She did not appreciate the puppy kiss at all!

My house is the opposite. My cats are forever trying to kiss and snuggle my Aussie. She does not appreciate the attention. It upsets her and she whimpers. My cats look at me like 'What's her problem? I was just cleaning her ear!'

She spends 15 minutes with me in the morning, letting me pet her while I get ready for work, and that is her quota of affection for the day. Wherever the rest of us are, for the rest of the day, she is in the opposite end of the house, napping. Fortunately the Maine Coon and siamese are friendlier. The Coon thinks she's a dog and follows us about, the Siamese is always trying to squeeze into any available lap.

I watch this several times a year. It totally encompasses why I love cats. And dogs too! Their expressions and patience were so adorable even though it was their bed. And I LOL'd at the ones where the dogs drag the bed trying to get kitty out but in a nice way. I just love animals!

Our current purr ball was raised with large dogs and tolerates dogs really well, although he thinks Chihuahuas need a mute button. He loves almost all humans (and when he doesn't I watch that person VERY carefully) and totally hates all other cats.
I think he may be part Maine Coon because of his size, coat and propensity for going on walks. I am going to try to find a harness for him so we can go walkies this fall.
