I got that tacky - We can see you. I was wearing a full, lace body suit with a lace bra underneath. I was fully covered but see through. I just stood there and looked at the witch. Nothing like what a person sees now. I need to go back to the azhat thread.

I'd mind my own business. If I were walking with someone and they did what the OP did, I'd be upset too. I'm easily embarrassed, sometimes even if I'm not the one acting inappropriately. I'd rather go on about my business than draw attention to the couple or myself.

I'd rather go on about my business than draw attention to the couple or myself. I don't really care what people do for the most part as long as I'm not involved. If someone else was offended they can deal with it, or if it was a situation where it's next to a school or they're doing it in the middle of an intersection or something I might call the police. Otherwise it's really not my problem and easy enough to avoid.

You were worried that other people might see them so you told that woman to go look? 50 feet away? 2 other people were in the area and didn't see it until you pointed it out to them. Nah, I would have laughed with my date about it and kept on trucking.

Ive done it in the ocean at night. I would never do it today, not because of the public thing, but because I cant see myself going into the ocean when its dark. Doing it on the beach can be a bitch too. All that grit/sand doesn't mix well with hot sweaty bodies Geeze, true confessions are just popping out all over. Umm, jump in the water afterward? As to the question, is there a statute of limitations on that?

If somebody called the cops on me, I would just shrug, look confused and say, no I was not doing anything indecent. OP couldn't even confirm they were indeed doing the deed., so there is no proof- just suspicion. I'm going to guess they were in their swim suits and making out in the water in a way that it could go either way. I recall a comment once several years ago when I was making out during 4th of July fireworks. It was probably inappropriate, but we were fully clothed. Somebody said "have some decency, there are children". We cooled off and tried to keep our hands off each other. Sometimes you get carried away...especially after a few drinks and it's dark.

I'm glad the OP wasn't staying at the same resort as hubs and I when we were in Aruba earlier this year.

This evening my husband and I were having dinner at restaurant that is part of a residential/marina complex. As we were leaving the restaurant, I looked over the elevated balcony and saw two people in a pool having, what appeared to be, sex. I asked my husband if he thought they were having sex and he said: Yes, and we should go. I thought I read : 'Yes, and we should too'...and if someone else thought the same I will die laughing or if I am the only one - so...its all Archie's holes in the pants doing to me And seriously, were you drunk?

I have a laugh and move on with my life. At least some body is getting some. Are we THAT old? And as to a lawyer. What would had happened if she called police? Do we still have that 'decency watchers'? And what is the sentence for indecent behavior (I was wondering about that not too ling ago)?

I think you sound pretty uptight. Add me to the giggle crowd and move on. I would have been pissed too if I was your husband. I would be pissed of if my husband would be pissed of at ANYTHING I said or done. He would be going down

Did they at least look good at what they were doing or was it more like two greased sea lions wrestling over some clams?

I probably would have yelled something funny.
Then again, we have a family tradition of honking at tennis and golf players who play near the lake we frequent. It's best to honk and yell right about the time someone tries to hit a golf ball. LOL
Back in the 1970s I was at elementary school one day and some teenagers were doing it on a grassy hill near where we were doing our PE class. We were all yelling "we can see your butt" and eventually they got dressed and left. No one ever called the cops.
Then again, I like to reserve cop calling for actual crimes...

Then again, we have a family tradition of honking at tennis and golf players who play near the lake we frequent. It's best to honk and yell right about the time someone tries to hit a golf ball. LOL Actively disrupting and embarrassing someone who has paid a lot of money to be doing something perfectly legal and is not bothering anybody else is completely different than good natured heckling of someone who is doing something illegal.
Most of the time the people having sex in public are doing something illegal with the (obviously mistaken) belief that nobody can see them or that they won't be caught. Saying something funny to let them know they can be seen may actually be a kindness and is possibly the gentlest way to let them know. In any case, they're in the wrong and you're not doing anything wrong to let them know. (Not that I'd do that - I agree with Pink that it's not my business and I'd ignore it).
But picking some random golfer or tennis player to frighten/disrupt/scare/heckle is a jerk move. They're not bothering you, they're doing what they're supposed to do and in this case you're the aggressor and in the wrong. I can remember how much I used to hate having to golf with clients when I was in my corporate life. I was always the only woman and it was fraught with politics. If I golfed badly it reinforced the stereotype that women can't compete, slow up play and shouldn't be included; if I beat the guys then that was an embarrassment to the clients - so it was always a careful juggling act of golfing just well enough to be respectable but not well enough to cream the men, all while making friendly small talk and trying to make friends without creating the impression that anything more than a professional relationship was possible. It sucked. And the thought that some random asshole would heckle or embarrass me for no reason would have sucked even worse.

Now that I don't have to golf for our business, I don't. (Not patient enough to spend 5-6 hours one something like that.) And as for PDA - doesn't bother me in others and I've done a fair bit of it myself.

Looks like the overwhelming response is that my husband had a right to be upset with me. I actually did not cause a scene, in my opinion, his opinion differs, obviously. Also, I did not anticipate that my husband would become so upset. I was just appalled that this couple were having sex in public with no apparent thought to concealment, whatsoever. I think that there a basic level of decency that should be adhered to in public. If a couple has an strong need to have sex and they are in the public, then they should take precautions to try to do so in a concealed manner and not out in the open in a high traffic area. As I mentioned in my original post, it has been down pouring about 15 minutes earlier, so it is possible that they started during the down pour and just didn't finish by the time the rain stopped...
I know that a lot of people (me included - 10 years ago) have had some form of public sex, but, in my case it was in a car in a abandoned area so the risk of discovery was low. However, if we had gotten caught by the police, then I deserved to be busted because that is the law. My husband is also no stranger to public sex (not with me and long before we met), which may explain his more relaxed attitude about the incident.

I probably wouldn't have said anything, but at the same time, probably wouldn't get upset of my companion(s) did.

When I was in highschool, my family and I went to Hawaii. My sister and I went horseback riding. There were about 10 of us on the ride. The guide suddenly turns to us and give us a quiet signal. I came around a bend and here are two people going at it about 20 feet away. They had no idea we were there until my horse snickered. Boy did I get a show then. And yes, I laughed- hysterically. Still laugh at the thought of them trying to grab their clothes and run.

I probably would have just moved on. Me and my Mrs. had fun sharing some private time at Disney World. You just never know when the moods going to strike. And no, no kids saw us (as far as we know), and it's still the happiest place on earth!

I probably would have gotten a drink and something to eat and just stood there and watched. Maybe could have picked up some pointers or taken notes to leave in their mailbox to let them know what they need to do better for next time.
