My neighbor's cherry tree has an appendage on it which reminds me of an excited phallus just like the one mentioned in the above article-except the rest of the tree is not grabbing it. The offending Prunus padus's appendage hangs right over my fence pointing at my home.

Personally I have a devil may care attitude concerning such things but I can see the city catching hell by having that thing up in a city park.

I can see and understand them removing it... it's an erection in public. Get rid of the erection, and it should be allowed back.

It's a metal sculpture (basically personal expression artwork) and would probably be more well-suited to be displayed in a gallery where some art snobs would view it as "inventive and thought-inspiring".
We have several large art sculptures (some abstract sculptures) outdoors here in our city in large-traffic areas - and on City land - some are quite impressive - others look like trash. I guess it's all in the perspective of what you view as art.
This is one of the pieces that's been sitting on a piece of City-owned parkland downtown in my city for a few decades. I personally have always thought it's just plain ugly - but that's about it. These figures are about 25-30 ft tall - and naked/anatomically correct.

I would post a picture of the whole statue but it is well beyond PG13.

That article won't pull up on my phone and something tells me I don't want to on my work comp...... Waist up photo. Safe picture. Wait until you get home to view a full picture on the Internet. Most guys would be quite envious of the devil.
