General Mills and Rite Aid piqued my interest this week, but I will go with United Natural Foods. UNFI long. This one might be a stretch this week because it has 99.49% Institutional ownership. The Institutions will have to bid it up after it reports this week to make it happen. Seems like health food stocks have been hot lately, so I will take a chance with it. I think I picked it months ago and got burned............

CHYR (long ) Chyron Corp. This stock closed Friday at $3. I also saw the name on one site as ChyronHego Corp. Broadcast graphics creations, etc., etc. Founded May 22, 2013 Hdq. in Melville, N.Y. 190 employees On their point & figure chart .... a trade at $3.25 would be a major breakout. This week? this month? this year? ..... need a crystal ball to foretell the future.

It appears caution is the "word" these days. Even OPK had some positive news + the CEO added more shares. Down. Oh well, that's how the old cookie crumbles.

How can Apple be down? Because I own it in real life .
Seriously though, has anyone seen all the articles about how bad Apple is this or that; or the articles that trash the new pay system, watch & phones. If those aren't enough there are always blurbs that go on about how Apple is "A mature company who's growth is unsustainable" and so on and so forth.
But for any & all issues that APPLE has or doesn't have.. The reality is that it is no longer the "power play" traders toy it was just a few months ago..
Compare the difference of now to a few months back:
Week Start $102.81 : Down 1.9% as of yesterday : Drop In Dollars $1.95 Per Share
A Few Months ago (Pre Split) this week would have looked like:
Week Start $719.67 : Down 1.9% : Drop In Dollars $13.67 Per Share
Simple Really Pre Split the moves in Dollars was much larger both up and down; makes for a great Trading Vehicle; High Risk, High Reward (Or High Loss).
Now that it has split, the moves in dollars are much smaller, so not as much chance for BIG bucks trading it. It still is getting traded; just not as much. And that shows in the daily volumes..
Which means that the Stock Price is a bit more stable day to day (for now)..

My sadness today about my contest pick ...... CHYR .... only up today about 26% I don't own any; was planning to buy some Monday ( on a dip ?) ... never did. Point & Figure chart already has 3 x's on a breakout; I was sort of predicting one in a few days or weeks. ............as the old saying goes " The trend is your friend " Think I'll start playing the Texas Lottery .......... LOL

Mod, ..... the lead that CHYR has developed just might get me a 5 day win this week ... but no prize money at the finish line ..... LOL. I think the last ( and only time I had a 5 day win was when Facebook went public & I shorted it that week ) Good morning, everyone ..... it's 4:40am here in Texas., & the 300 doppler weather map shows a huge rain blob heading our way .... it's moving SE. About market opening time ..... we'll get drenched.

I had mentioned that General Mills and Rite Aid piqued my interest this week, but went with something else. Just so you know I would have been one for two on them. I was going to go long on General Mills, and it dropped on earnings and comments from mgmt. I was going to short Rite Aid and it dropped 15% today on earnings.

I know one thing for sure, should not have gone back to OPK again....about a year or two need to pass. And yet CEO still buys a bunch every week for months on end. Oh well, insiders are not on a weekly schedule and can focus on a much longer future.
