When it comes to the Federal Government... there is no such thing as "Biblical Responsibility". THIS Government is NOT Christian.

Using Genesis as a basis for government policy makes perfect sense

Using Genesis as a basis for government policy makes perfect sense If Genesis is good enough for religious conservatives to want it taught in our schools as science, well why not?

You know the answer to that. Religious conservatives have no place in government- only difference between them and ISIS is how far they will go. Mouthy ill-informed Christians I can deal with.

I am rooting for 'the rapture' BTW. A supernatural event that rids the world of smug assholes is high on my list

When it comes to the Federal Government... there is no such thing as "Biblical Responsibility". THIS Government is NOT Christian. Exactly.
I have not verified the above Kerry quotes, but if true they are dead wrong.
Of course I disagreed with James Watt's views on using the environment up before Armageddon as well.
And I was amused by Joe Biden's recent threat to send ISIL to the "Gates of Hell".
Where are the Gates of Hell? Surely, not on MY street. Maybe off of Fifth and Main?
If I remember correctly, The Greeks have the Gates to Hell somewhere up in the mountains, but I do not recommend sending ISIS to Greece.
Maybe we could fund Israel a few extra billion and ask them to take care of them. Then again Israel finally has an extremist group that hates us worse than them, so, they may want to keep a low profile right now.

I think using scripture for a defense for anything in politics or public policy is stupid.
I don't like it when it is used to deny abortions & I don't like it when it is used to protect the environment.
