At the request of another poster here I updated my networthiq tonight, and I got a really pleasant surprise. We have $100,003.79 in retirement money!!!
**please don't let the market dip tomorrow... please don't let the market dip tomorrow... please don't let...**
That's the good news.
The bad news is, I found out we've got right at $6k in credit card debt. I'm not even sure what it's all from. Back to cracking down on the budget again. Should all be paid off by late April/early May. I swear I'm going to cancel the damn things this time!
Our net worth is still at just over $50k (all liabilites, only cash/stock/house value assets). The house value is down a bit from when we bought it, but nothing crazy. We aren't pre-paying the mortgage or my wife's student loans, so they're ever so slowly creeping down. I've only got a couple payments left on the stupid motorcycle loan.
We're making progress, but at this point it would take a minor miracle to hit $100k in net worth before I turn 30 in December. I'll have to console myself with the fact that we've come a long damn way in four years.

So if market is doing badly Dark's wealth is down to drain? Pretty much. You roll the dice and take your chances. Oh, and I don't have wealth yet. I have some money put aside. It's not wealth until it hits seven figures, or nine if you count the two after the dot.
