I just got a call from the library and I actually won a $25 gift card to a grocery store.
Please share some small wins that made you happy or even ones you are hoping for.
I'm hoping my next small win will get my sinus infection squashed and
get my sleep, voice, and good humor back with it.

I had one big to me--I won a Chromebook in a Twitter contest. I gave it to my nephew for Christmas that year because he needed a new computer. I gave it to him as soon as it arrived.
I have won several Twitter contests--usually CDs.

Cool on the gift card, and hope you feel better soon! I'm trying a simulation game for a new-to-me investment type. It's pretty fun to research, and I netted 530 imaginary dollars today poking around. Yay gambling/playing with only only tiny amounts of knowledge I swear, that's when it's most fun, just messing around punching buttons. Then actual strategy is formed and test run over several years. Apple pie was made today also since DH wanted it, crust and filling from scratch. Pie always an automatic win

I found the library book on cd I had checked out for my son, then promptly misplaced. It was overdue, so I owed $2. If I hadn't found it, I would have had to pay $112.50! And the kicker...my son was not even interested in the book! Oh, and then this morning when I logged on to my bank's website to eyeball the old checking account activity, it was off $100 in my favor. I pulled out my checkbook and yes, I had made an error. So, I guess neither of these are new money coming to me, but they both made me glad just the same.

It was a nice win, but I really did not need it. I have 3 incredible nephews who have helped me a lot around the house since I moved here. This one was in dire need of a computer for presentations at college and the Chromebook would do the trick. That is why I gave it to him.

Investment thing sounds cool, what kind of investment? Happy apple pie eating. I like good homemade pie crust.

While on vacation this summer, I won $300 in a 50/50 raffle. It was for Camp Sunshine, a camp for seriously ill children and their families.
Gave it right back.

I complained for two years that my company didn't have a Roth 401k option and they got one, then I started complaining they didn't have a low cost index bond fund option and they got one. I work for a large company, who knows if it was my complaining but I'm chalking them up as small victories.

I've vacationed near it for years. We participate in various fundraisers every year. This is the biggest chunk of change I've ever had to donate.
I've only known one family that actually were guests there.

Investment thing sounds cool, what kind of investment? I'm messing around with a foreign exchange market simulator. Last weekend my parents had some guys taking a look at the electrical lines up to their house, and dad got to talking to one of them about investments. None of us have any experience with currencies as investments, but it sounded neat to research and play with, extremely huge in scope. Even if in the end we don't wind up using the information with real money, it still seems worthwhile to look over how it works

One of my truly small wins that makes me happy is when the entire family is home for dinner. Doesn't happen often enough these days.
