Don't piss off a banjo player - ever see the movie "Deliverance"? Heck, he didn't even piss off the banjo player
Incidently, my wife and I have rafted that river twice, and never encountered any banjo players.

I saw Steve Martin, Edie Brickell and the Steep Canyon Rangers in concert several weeks ago. The banjo playing was pretty good.

Why did he have to hit her? Couldn't he just play them until she committed suicide?

I'm just glad that our banjo player sits across the stage from me, where I can keep an eye on him! Do you play bluegrass?

banjos don't kill people, people kill people. I think you'd have to ban stiletto heels first. More cases of death and disfigurement from them than banjos.
And while it might be wrong, at the moment I hope she gets to kill him in their next life with her musical instrument of choice.

How about she use a dulcimer. Non-stop dulcimer music.

I own a dulcimer. And, I don't lock it up. It is in my bedroom in an unlocked case!

We sat up in the balcony The concert was so boring, I wanted to pitch myself off the balcony to the church floor below. Two hours of what sounded to be the same melody each time.

djAdvocate and ArchietheDragon - If it had been a fraction as interesting as the music in posts 18 and 19, it might have been tolerable. Just some seemingly depressed woman plucking the same sad melodies on the damn thing. For two hours.!

No. We describe it as "Original Rock, country and Americana", but it is really "Old white guys try to get down".
The banjo guy is actually our drummer, who typically cuts out and plays banjo on two tunes during the night. Maybe that's why he has yet to assault anyone with the BBB (Big bad banjo)
Cool. We have been getting into bluegrass lately. There is a bar near us that has live bluegrass on Sunday nights. Lots of fun. I never thought I would like bluegrass...

I never thought I would like bluegrass... there is a ton of great bluegrass out there. try some Dawg Music (Grisman). if you don't like that, start on this list at the top and work down: flavorwire.com/280634/10-essential-bluegrass-artists-you-need-to-know

Cool stuff. Definitely NOT like the stuff playing at the local bar, though!

Listening to Grisman. Cool stuff. Definitely NOT like the stuff playing at the local bar, though! no, what Grisman does is fuse bluegrass with GYPSY JAZZ. it is super fun, high energy stuff. but you are right- not strictly bluegrass.

Arch you're married with children. You no longer need to be cutting edge hip. You can just have fun now. Next step for ArchietheDragon are lime green pants with a white belt and white shoes.
