I don't know about the Iraqi Constitution (and I'm fairly certain you don't either... I could be wrong though)... but in the case you are likely alluding to (could you possibly be referring to folks wanting Obama to follow the Constitution?)... there are known legitimate grounds for that desire.

You are certainly correct that I can not judge the merits of the potential case in Iraq. I was struck when I read the story simply by the fact of the commonality.

The Iraqis are running away. Were Saddam Hussein still ìn power, none of this would be taking place, including the Iraqis running away. That's right! He did his mass killing behind closed doors like a civilized totalitarian!

There may be an actual military coup occurring ìn Iraq, but your linked article at this time ìs titled 'Possible Military Coup Rocks Iraq'. I saw on another site the coup was confirmed but no details. I posted this one . We can all read the headline I think.
eta: still nothing on CNN so maybe , hopefully, not true.
Unless it benefits a liberal political position, you probably won't see it on CNN.

It was a shitty situation prior to 9/11, it was a shitty situation with our involvement following 9/11, it's still a shitty situation following our 'withdrawal'. The place is a shit hole. Our intervention or lack of it won't change that. That said, I can see why these strikes were ordered. The rest of the world isn't going to sit around and watch a bunch of religious whackjobs starve out a bunch of women and children trapped on a mountain. i would argue that it is far shittier now. and it could have played out very differently. the rebels could be WITH us right now, if we had simply supported them to take out Saddam for us. and it would have saved billions, and hundreds of thousands of lives, as well. our foreign policy has to change. bombing Iraq AGAIN is not a hopeful sign.

I wouldn't say it was a coup. Maliki may have lost his Prime Minister position which he is none too pleased about....The court have declared his ousting illegal. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-28749541Hes got to go really. They need a rapid coalition which is gong to pull people together.

No. You won't be thanked...You'll just be blamed....again blamed by who? 3/4 of the world who think the US intervenes too frequently and too messily. (Number is made up)

Iraq never asked for help. when we said we would give it, they basically said "let us handle Saddam". we went anyway. i think that is the norm. don't you?

Unless it benefits a conservative political position, you probably won't see it on FOX. Fair and balanced is in the eye of the beholder. I ignore how the media companies advertise themselves.
