Just picked this up,,,my team as a kid , "Brooklyn Dodgers" Campy, Gil, Robinson, Reese, Cox, Furillo, lots of players in left and in center field ...the Duke. Those were the days! Cheap seats, real people players. I just missed the Dodgers in NY, but definitely caught pick up games all summer. Glad the Dodgers won, finally, before they left. RIP Duke...

Yep I used to listen to the games on radio. The old announcers had a way of making you feel like you could see every play. Used to go to spring training games when some of the old timers still played and sit free in the bleachers. If one hit a ball there the player would come around and sign the ball for you and sit and chat. Now it is all so commercial and those days are gone. May they rest in peace they gave us something to dream about as kids.
