Have you actually tried the shoes ON Because I order safety shoes for my company weekly and a D IS a medium! Most shoes come in a D (aka M) or W. An A or B is a narrow and for us, is a special order. Add some insoles - you might be surprised at the fit.

Men's D is medium. Women's B is medium. Women's D is wide. Men's feet tend to be wider than women's which might be confusing because of the sizing.
I've had various iterations of this shoe including 8.5M and 8.5W prior to that.
They have great insoles, but I tried them on briefly and it wasn't a great fit. I might try walking around my place inside with them, but if they fit its likely because I'm not hydrated and my feet would be doing the summer season swelling.

Not necessarily recommending it in this situation since I'm sure there are 57 reasons why it wouldn't work, but PSA - if anyone needs a phone number that's quick yet easy to screen/block calls on or even ditch, get a Google Phone Number. It's free and works well. You can forward the calls to your regular land or cell phone line or not.
And it's a lot better than giving annoying people and businesses your husband's cell phone number instead of your own. Um, not that I'd ever do such a thing. No, honey, I have no idea why the State Revenue Department has your number as the main contact for our business... My brother was less than pleased to have a car dealer calling him asking if he still wanted to buy such and such car. I swear I gave the guy my phone number not my brother's. Of course my brother was sitting there and doesn't remember what number I gave the guy. I don't know if he wrote mine down wrong or what and did an address search and found my brother's? Maybe I accidentally flipped digits when I gave it to him. I'm bad about that. Which makes being a financial auditor tons of fun at times!

This still makes absolutely no sense. Your friend ordered 9 and received 7. Why not let the seller replace with correct size even if they are wide. Sorry but ebay allows full refund on mis-ships regardless of your belief that the seller doesn't accept returns. If you have the choice take the wider shoe and see if it fits.
What makes less sense is that you think you are getting a real pair of Orthofeet shoes for $25 when it is a $125 pair of shoes. High end brands do not discount like that. They spend a lot of time and money to ensure that their original product sells within a range of the MSRP. When you see an unbelievable deal like that, it isn't.

They did, she now has a pair of 7D and 9D, she didn't want a D and missed that in the ad. I think, this has been hard to follow.
