I haven't been able to get my lawn to look half way decent yet this year. I ordered some organic fertilizer and weed controller from Amazon and am going to try it. I am also going to test my soil. My wish for the best lawn in the circle has gone to heck.

No. But then I don't really care about the quality of my grass...

I buy fertilizer then don't put it on anything. My yard guy spread chemicals on my lawn. Organic is just poop, ISO has a barn with hay and horse poop on the ground, he will muck it out and put that with his grass clippings then if he has a garden next year he can till it under.

I get a weed and feed chemical (non organic) and apply that every spring. It helps that the last two years we've had a ridiculous amount of rain in the spring/summer months. We still have a lot of clover and other non-grass stuff, but we have a completely green, fairly lush, healthy looking yard, one of the better looking yards in the neighborhood, but that isn't saying a whole lot because my next door neighbor has kids who ride ATV's in his yard, so he has more of a dirt track instead of grass, and I have two other neighbors who get a little crazy with the roundup and create big swaths of dead vegetation through their yards.
But compared to their yards, my kind of weedy but pretty much all green yard looks down right nice

I don't do anything to the yard except make DH mow it. We also get 5+ feet of rain a year here, so.....

Vinegar is indeed an awesome weed killer, as long as you don't care about the surrounding vegetation. I took out some dandelions that way. Nice big brown spot all around but the dandelion was gone

DH would kill me if I fed the lawn, it grows fast enough as it is. We don't do weed killer. Twice now our lawn has been killed because someone else decided to "help" and spray. First it was my FIL who managed to kill a 2 ft perimeter around our back fence. Second time was our neighbor and he killed the entire left side of our front lawn! It's just now turning green again. DH said nothing is being sprayed on our grass ever again he doesn't care what the label claims. DH weed whacks around the fence and we manually tear down milkweed if it gets out of control in the fall. Neither one of us care about a few dandelions.

I use sheep manure. My hostas are bigger than I am. No pesticides. I have a few marigolds planted among the stuff I'm going to eat. Seems to work.
