DH noticed Google won't load. Yahoo and Bing won't either. What's up?

Works fine for me. Google has an interesting picture today. Bing and GoodSearch (yahoo based) are fine too.

Yep, seems to be working now. It was just odd - Google would refuse to load, on everything: DH's iPod, DS4's iPod, my kindle, the pc, then they tried Yahoo and Bing. DD3, when asked, said she noticed Google not working over an hour earlier on her laptop. When they mentioned the other search engines not working, it seemed unusual. Maybe the others were just overwhelmed if Google was off for a bit.

That is odd. Haven't seen anything on the internet about it. Wonder what happened?

Yes, all on same wifi. But why would it only affect search engines and not other sites: email, Skype, IRS, 401k, craigslist, etc.?

Teen, it happens to me on my ipad sometimes, I just shut down and restart it and it seems to fix the issue. It's always the internet single for me.

It's probably something with your ISP and not the actual websites.

Yes, all on same wifi. But why would it only affect search engines and not other sites: email, Skype, IRS, 401k, craigslist, etc.? Were you actually accessing any of those other sites at that exact moment? When my wifi craps out I can have a page open but it takes a while for the error to pop up that the server isn't responding. It doesn't happen right away either and if your internet comes back up quick enough you may not notice it unless you're browsing at that exact moment.
