I worked on a loading dock for a short time. It'd be a safe book to read to truckers. Nothing they haven't heard, or said, before...   As a teacher of students with special needs, I frequently had to educate other teachers. One time our HS business ed teacher was complaining about a student on my case load using profanity in the hall. He said the kid needed to learn not to use that kind of language or he wouldn't be able to keep a job. I told him this particular individual would always have jobs at which not using that type of language would make him stick out like a sore thumb. |

Oh my gosh! That totally reminds me of when the beaches were first shut down in Florida. After about a week, the pelicans were flying over the main road that ran parallel to the beach. I think they were looking for people. |

Another one of your cooking devices which knows it's safe for the time being.  My mother's Alzheimer's diseased brain put a bag of microwave popcorn in the microwave and set the power at max and the time to cook at 10 minutes. My mom could not figure out or understand why there was smoke and flames coming out of the microwave. |

Both a and a  Tennesseer. I had my first microwave back around 70 or 71. My EX worked for a local building supply place and vendors were always saying "take this home and try it" to get him to stock in store. It helped that I sold the rep for GE his home when he transferred here!! But talk about a learning curve. I never caused a fire but a few things would have taken out the Wall of China or replaced hockey pucks. But I did get the hang of it without blowing up house and neighborhood. Also helped that I found a "cook book" Toute de Sweet for microwaves or something like that. Think I picked it up while in New Orleans one weekend. I was way ahead of all my friends and neighbors!!
