So I see a new headline over at MSN money "Will the US economy drop to third place?"
BFD. The research just shows that the size of the economies expected to be first and second (China and India) will be greater than that of the US's. So what? Will that make me want to emigrate to China or India and live as an average citizen there? I don't think so.
They should be comparing quality of life, average earnings, etc. This isn't a football game where only "first place" counts. But that seems to be the American way and American mentality these days.
How about a little country like Switzerland? I'm sure their economy ranks relatively low in size, but I'm equally sure that the quality of life there is pretty good.
