We actually had a similar incident here. Someone called a bomb threat to the local community college because she wasn't ready to take a final. Also tracked down by phone records.

Wonder if mommy and daddy will make her pay back what they spent on her non-education. Of course, whatever the amount is, it will now be offset by what it will cost to keep her out of prison.

They never visited her in campus? They never saw her grades? Really?

There was a similar incident when I worked at Creighton. Only it was an emailed bomb threat.
Dumb ass used a computer in the student lounge, where you're required to log in using your student/employee ID. He was tracked down within seconds.

I know people who attend that college. My friends could have done without that stress.
It's ridiculous for her to think her mother wouldn't find out she didn't graduate.

Well, where she is probably going at least she wont have to worry about healthcare benefits or 3 squares/day.

They never visited her in campus? They never saw her grades? Really? Parents aren't entitled to see the grades, or get much information at all from the school, even if they are paying the tuition.
The article said she didn't attend this year. Since her parents and relatives expected her to graduate, she may have attended in prior years. Mom either gave her the money for this year, which the genius kept, or mom paid the school, and the girl got a refund when she didn't attend.

I KNOW that but really, what parent doesn't demand to see grades as a price for tuition? If you are that stupid of a parent, you deserve to be taken.

She is not exactly a rogue scholar, is she? Even if she stopped the graduation ceremony that day, did she think they wouldn't just reschedule it? Was she planning on doing this bomb threat crap indefinitely?

But I'm pretty sure I told them.........

I'm sure I told mine, too. But they'd have asked anyway and if I had pulled anything like they aren't entitled to see them, I bet they would have said I'm not entitled to tuition.

Definitely not the sharpest pencil in the box!
Maybe she should have actually USED the tuition for tuition!
