I know commentator, at least, is a CPA ... there are others as well i'm sure, including newly minted wvugurl.
moderaters will need to be added of course, but due to the very specialized nature of this board, they will need to be currently in the field.

Thanks for adding this. I learned so much from Tax Corner. I'm currently retired from preparing returns, but I do still remember some things. Would not be a good mod.

I don't recall voting for any mods at the old board. They were appointed, and we openly hated them, and complained about them incessantly. That's what boards are for!
When a vacuum is created, something must rush in to fill it. So it will be here. I hope.

I think you should moderate - then, when Jeff comes over here, you can ban him LOL I have no problem with Jeff as long as he doesn't try to rewrite the history of 2001-2004. That attitude had been working fine for the past couple of months on Tax Corner until some other mod decided to ban my Eastern Tax Guy accounts. I do have a problem with the tax board being moderated by anyone other than honest tax professionals. I also have a problem with moderators who let their personal opinions drive their moderator decisions. |

Until a moderator is appointed, selected, drafted, or needed ... you can all still report problem posts and one of the other mods will pop over and check things out.

I also didn't like the way Jeff referred people to his book all the time. |
