Hula hoop, anyone?

I did it.  I did it. I did it.

It's on FB and everything.  I already got comments.  Whoop.  Whoop.  I hula hooped with my Grd's weighted hoop.  I did it for a l o n g time.  A long time being more than a couple revolutions.  Grd. and her friends also hoop at night downtown when the bands are playing.  They are having a blast.  A couple of them have the lazer light one's which I've only seen on youtube.  Their hoops go every where with them.  The hoops are so much more fun than just sitting around, hanging out.

How wonderful to feel 20 something again.

I've fallen out of the habit of using my weighted hoops. I need to get back to it. It's good core exercise and it's FUN!

DH bought some clear tubing.  The heavier black stuff was $90 for way to many feet.  The clear tubing was spendy, also, $15.  I don't know if we can get it uncoiled and stiff enough to work.

In chatting with a friend, she tried a class at the local Y.  She got her hoop there.  The class was canceled because of lack of attendance.  She said her hoop has water in it for stablity.

Youtube has work out routines.

She also said the hoops need to have duct tape on them.  I'm not adding more money to this misadventure, so mine will be gray duct tape rather than snazzy.

I'm reminded to practice my juggling.  I use two hacky sacks.  I'm not up to 3 yet.  I get the same mental workout with 2.

-slaps-Take that you online sellers of hula hoops.

DH took back the clear tubing that was too floppy.  He found the correct stuff at Lowe's for an entire roll for $20.  I think 100 feet.  Of course the coupling was too big; and he had to get them at another store.

I now have my very own 42" black pvc hula hoop and I can use it.  He made one larger for himself.  I need to decide if I want to get tape, which I probably will, to decorate it.

I am going to make a couple and advertise them for sale on a free online listing.  The thin ones in the stores are for kids.

I am hooping a short time each day and so is DH.

I have had zero nibbles on the hula hoop ad I placed.  Silly peeps will probably buy off e-bay for 3 times as much.

It's so hard to spread some fun.

I just ran across my hoop out in the garage.  I should bring it in and start using it again.  If nothing else it's good entertainment for freaking the cats out and one of the dogs likes to jump through it.  Someone will get some exercise out of it, even if it's not me!
