In the earlier part of the year 2000(something), the former Red Sox Baseball Player's success led him to signing up with the NY Yankees. What ever happened to him/his career? Is he still a professional baseball player?

Baseball-Reference.comit appears he retired toward the end of the 2012 season. this link lists his last game as 8/1/2012. as a Sox fan, I stopped paying attention to what he did after went to the dark side.

Thank you for providing that url. It appears that Johnny Damon did not stay long with any team. He's been away from professional baseball for less than two years.

As a long haired caveman he captured my wife's heart even more than did Tek. (Poor deminmaine, just a hack golfer...) However, he is "dead to her" since he went over to the Evil Empire. As is Jacoby now. Money means so much to some people. Mike Mussina was my favorite pitcher when he left the Orioles to play for the Yankees in 2001. From that moment on, he was Mike "Benedict Arnold" Mussina to me.
