How much do you spend on average per week on food and household products?
I've been keeping track of the grocery bill since I stopped eating out b/c the bill went up. These are the numbers for past 4 weeks: $142=$95, $47 $192 = $147(Costco diapers paper towels etc), $49 $163= $7, $56, $61, $39 $93= $58, $24, $11
So all over the place but averaging $142/wk.
2 adults and 2 and 4 year old

We average $90 per week for 2 adults. We are in an mcola in the mid-atlantic.
When you add in two kids it sounds like you are doing pretty well.

I am a single and can keep my spending to $25/week + my wine (about $25/month). HOWEVER, I shop store perimeters, scout ALL the ads, hit several fruit/veg markets each week, hit at least 2 full grocery stores/week, shop at dollar store, shop at Aldi, meal plan and mostly cook from scratch. i do buy my bread either on clearance rack, at outlet store or Aldi.

$200 a week - me, DS18, DS15 and DS' girlfriend 17. That doesn't include cleaning products except for the occasional item (my cleaning person brings her own) or Target runs (where any household stuff would be bought).

I'm guessing about $100/week for 2 adults, not including wine purchases.

Since I shop at both Costco & Sam's for a lot of items in bulk, it's hard to figure what a weekly expenditure would be. Some items last a month, some 2-3 months. But for just an average...probably around $300-400 a month for 2 of us and 6 cats plus I feed the wild birds too.

What I spend depends on what I find on sale and how much I stock up on that item. It can be all over the place - $200 one week and $10-$20 the next week - it really all depends on the sales that I find. Today is the 14th and so far this month I've spent less than $30 on groceries. I don't spend anything for non-food household items (toiletries, paper products, soaps and cleaners) cuz I stockpiled them pretty good when they were free at the drug chains.

Cat food and cat litter are figured separately on our budget. (And don't get started on what we spend on bird seed!!)

I spend an average of $320/month (the goal is $300). This includes food, HBAs, cleaning supplies, and greeting cards. DH supplements throughout the month with fresh produce, and milk for him. He also buys things I do not find necessary such as beverages (I can survive on water and vodka ), and snacky items for his lunch, so figure in another $200. It is just the two of us, in a HCOL vacation area.

Cat food and cat litter are figured separately on our budget. (And don't get started on what we spend on bird seed!!) Since I buy mine mostly at Costco or Sam's...it's in my total grocery bill.
But I also buy cracked corn for the birds besides wild bird food and suet blocks. The cardinals, blue jays and a few other ground feeders prefer the cracked corn just thrown on the ground so they can "hunt" for it. I get that at TSC (Tractor Supply Co.) in 50# bags. And during the winter, I make my own suet blocks. I don't save much doing that but the birds like mine a LOT better than the store bought blocks. I don't buy any thistle seed...we have plenty of those in our woodsy/pasture area!
