This is what proper self-defense looks like- the way it was before SYG effed it up:
www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-winter-haven-homeowner-kills-intruder-20140408,0,6511821.story
Pena told officers his family heard a sound coming from their back door.
When he went to investigate, he saw a man trying to open the French doors leading off his back porch.
"The resident retrieved a firearm and fired a shot in an attempt to scare the reported intruder off," officers said. "However, the intruder continued into the residence, undeterred by the shot."
Makes a lot more sense that gunning down an Alzheimer's patient in the back yard or shooting someone through a door, no?

Well, you got your wish, EVT. There was a school rampage near Pittsburgh that did NOT involve a gun. A knife-wielding student caused severe injuries to 20 people, several life-threatening. What I couldn't understand, though, was how the injured people didn't just "run away." That seems to be the anti-gun propaganda that if someone was wielding a knife, that people could just run away to safety. Unfortunately, now there are 20 examples disproving that theory...

Maybe because each time a knife slices into flesh, ìt does not go 'BOOM' which alerts others?

Again....20....not 2.....20.

I'd say that's 20 reasons to be glad it wasn't an AR-15 the student had. 20 people survived vs. 20 people dead- not exactly my wish as no attacks at all would be preferred- but I'll take it. I don't really care what anti-gun people think about running away- or what you think they think- it has always been acceptable to use deadly force to defend against an armed attacker.

Again....20....not 2.....20. With a knife in a crowded school hallway, I could stab 20 people in 10 seconds before anyone realized what was going on. I do not have to be 3, 5, 10 feet away from my victims to stab them. I can anonymously mingle among the students and stab them before anyone realized they had been stabbed.

I was just about ready to post this. 20 stabbed, 4 critical and they're not sure if they'll make it.
