I have a recipe for khobz, which is Moraccan white bread. Don't know if it's the same, though. 1/2 tablespoon dry yeast 1/2 teaspoon sugar for the yeast 3 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil Mix ½ tablespoon of yeast and ½ teaspoon of sugar, with a little bit of warm water. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes before using it. In a large bowl, mix 3 cups of all purpose flour, with ½ tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of sugar, and the yeast mixture. Add warm water, little by little, while mixing the ingredients until you are able to form a dough ball. You only need enough water to get the ingredients together, and the dough ball should not feel wet or sticky. Put the dough on a flat surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Should be soft and elastic in texture. Cut it into 4 equal pieces and knead each piece for about a minute, then shape them into mounded circles. Put them on a baking sheet, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes. Flour a cutting board, or your counter and flatten each ball of dough into a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Place on baking pan, cover and let rest for a couple of hours (the dough will spring back when gently pressed with fingers). Preheat overn to 400 degrees F. Poke the dough with a knife in 4 different places and bake for 20 minutes. Check part way through and turn to other side if needed. Should be golden brown all over when done.
