Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, fevers, chills (I am wearing 5 layers AND a wool hat right now inside my house and it is 50 degrees out), achy joints, sore throat.
I AM really blessed in life and in the scheme of things, this flu stuff is NOTHING.
But, I still want to whine about it.
And, I want to whine that I have to go get dressed to drop something off at school this afternoon.
WHIIIIIINNNNNNEEEEEEEE.
Okay. Done. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Ugh. Those spring illnesses are the absolute worst. I'd hug you, but you're germy as hell.

I think some of you don't know the meaning of the word "sympathy" as in "I want sympathy now". I did suck it up, Mutt. As much as I want to, I did not crawl back into bed. I walked the dog, did laundry, showered, dried my hair, and PUT ON MAKEUP. I went and took care of my duties at school (and no doubt shared my germs). Another mother who is a nurse at a prestigious Boston hospital told me to go home because I was scaring the kids. Now that I am home, I asked DH to pick the kids up tonight after practice and to pick up some Tylenol for me. I, then, made my own damn homemade chicken with rice soup with a poopload of onions, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic. It is cooking on the stove now. Thanks anyway, Chiver, but as you pointed out, your track record isn't so good. I also heated up 2 really nice multigrain dinner rolls and slathered them with Kerrygold butter. Not so good for the mucous, but sooooo comforting. I am just waiting for the soup, and then crawling under as many blankets as I can find on the couch in the family room. DH can handle grilling the BSCB that have been marinating for 2 days for dinner for him and the boys. He can also add the sides. I am done. I am sick. I am a whiner.

Grg- go to bed... The longer you keep trying to run around the longer the sickness will stick with you. And stop spreading those germs. Take some drugs and pass out for a blissful 12+ hours of sleep- so says Dr. Sarcastic

Sympathy coming your way.
I'm sick too. Buried at work, kids and dh sick but hopefully rounding the other side of this crap.
I only feel somewhat human when I'm in a scalding hot bathtub. Now if only I could work that way.

I am a whiner. Sure you're not a man? Have some Nyquil and get some sleep. We'll send Chiver over with the New England contingent's contribution of chicken soup. I am going nowhere near you. Sorry.
