Walker himself precipitated the "budget crisis," necessitating a "repair bill" that gave him and his allies what they really wanted. The governor pursues an agenda backed by the tea party's financial angels. Public employees and other workers down the line will pay the freight for such folly. The governor lies. Read more: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=moneytalk&action=display&thread=3849&page=2#ixzz1FJCvWWdMIf government approached the Wall Street financial fiasco with the same enthusiasm Wisconsin is displaying on its pensions and public employees union, then people would be hanging from streetlights on Wall Street. The difference in the approach is very revealing about priorities. One of the lesser-known consequences of the WI bill stripping unions of their right to collective bargaining (except Republican-leaning ones) is the fact that the governor can unilaterally decide to sell off the state's energy facilities which were built with taxpayer money to anyone he wishes without bidding (if we're so broke, you'd think he'd want to get some money for these). It just so happens that one of the major campaign backers of Walker are the Koch brothers, who despite denying wishing to buy Wisconsin's power plants, are already running ads through one of their many subsidiaries seeking experienced power plant managers in Wisconsin.

We were attacked and almost 3,000 people died on 9.11.01 and nevermind nobody went to jail, nevermind nobody was fired-- we actually gave the outfit whose job it was to see it coming, but missed it-- MORE MONEY, expanded their power and reach, and let them hire MORE PEOPLE.
