I'm usually the opposite of a prophet of doom. Many journalists see Jerusalem as a fast track to a Pulitzer Prize, and peddling the apocalypse of Jerusalem is perceived as an easy way of doing that, so there's a tendency to overstate the volatility of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem is a far more stable city than its reputation. I spoke about two weeks ago when the violence in Jerusalem was on the ascendancy, and people who know these issues very well were saying, "Ah, this happens every year around the Jewish High Holidays. This is just another perennial round of skirmishing. We see this all the time."

I fear that my mission in Washington this time is to say this is not a routine round of skirmishing. What we are seeing is something significant in ways that go well beyond tomorrow's headlines. I do not want to sound hysterical about this. I will not answer whether this is the third intifada or not; that will just get us involved in a side discussion that I think has very little benefit. But I think it is important to understand why this is different. I think I could have said as much six weeks ago, two months ago, three months ago, and for the past 15 months. However, within the last month the violence in Jerusalem has become far more visible and convulsive, particularly concerning events in and around the Temple Mount, and is finally receiving the attention it merits.

Since July of last year, we have been already in the throes of a popular uprising in East Jerusalem, widespread in a way that we have not witnessed since 1967. One of the things that I'm asked about now all the time, "Is this unprecedented?" I think this is. That they shut down the Old City to the Palestinians is unprecedented. Never happened before since 1967.

Iranian leader threatens neighbors with Shiite cells

Thre are around 200,000 Shiite-Muslim youths in the region prepared to wage holy war upon the arrival of the Mahdi, a prophesized Muslim leader, Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency quoted an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander as saying.

Speaking at an event organized by the Islamic Education Center for Strategic Studies, an Iranian think tank, IRGC Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari reportedly said that tens of thousands of Shiite youths had been armed and trained for jihad – in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen – in anticipation of the Mahdi's appearance.

The youths, he said, had been "prepared" for the Mahdi's appearance, going on to assert that the current chaos in the region – including the emergence of DAESH – was a sign of the Mahdi's imminent arrival. Shiite Muslims believe that the Mahdi will appear on earth to bring justice to mankind shortly before Armageddon and that his appearance will be presaged by widespread chaos and war.

The Prophecy of the Vilna Gaon

 It was in the year of 1720 that a young prodigy and genius was born.  The Gaon (Hebrew for “genius”), Rabbi Elijah ben Shlomo Zalman was to become the most influential Jewish leader in modern history. He would be known as the most renowned Ashkenazi Torah authority in the past thousand years. His vast skills in memorization, his extraordinary talents, great wisdom and his comprehension of all branches of Torah and secular knowledge were early recognized. 

By the age of seven, he gave his first public discourse on the Torah demonstrating an intellect that was fully developed to abstract thinking as an adult.  By the age of ten years, his wisdom in the understanding of the Torah was so renowned for he no longer could find a teacher with the command of the Torah as he. Today Rabbi Shturnbuch (Sternbuk) is the Raavad or the Vice-President of the Rabbinic Court and eligible to become the Chief Rabbi (Gaavad) if the present Chief Rabbi Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss were to decease or could not fulfill his responsibilities of the Haredi Rabbinic Court.

As reported by Rabbi Lazer Brody with Lazer Beams in late March, 2014, titled, “Rabbi Moshe Shternbuch: We Hear the Footsteps of Moshiach”, we read;
