Rules:

6. Opening prices will be those found at MSN Money. Any disputed opening price will be resolved using the price listed at Yahoo Finance historical quotes

Last week was painful but I'm back to play again. I'm going to stick with ETAK for one more week. Wednesday's conference call/earnings release will decide it's fate. It's either going to do fantastic or it will be the best stock to short this week as if the earnings/call isn't good the stock will plummet like a rock. There isn't an in-between on this one. Because I'm an optimist I pick long.  |

Last week's contest results have been updated as well as the cumulative statistics. I believe architechto25 had the +/- incorrect for kadee66. architecto25 was this week's winner. clarkrl2 was second and ModE90 was third.

Kadee, it ain't spring up here yet. Snow flurries all morning again, and the ground is solid ice half inch down into the grass, here.
I will go with CONN this week. A regional retailer who has been taken to the woodshed since late December. They report this week, and I am hoping at least for a positive spring outlook, giving the stock a boost this week. CONN, long |

Value Buy, your having snow flurries. etc. ....I'm curious what state you hang your hat in. The worse blizzard I've ever been in was in Minneapolis, MN. 3/23/66. 80 mph winds, 16 inches of snow. City total shut down. Snow plows didn't even get out until it was over. Our Air Force reserve unit ( C-119's ) would cancel flying when it got 20 below zero. BBBBRRRRRR. |

Surviving in Northwest Indiana, about 45 miles southeast of Chicago. Two more inches of the fluffy stuff this morning, again. Temperature should be 48 to 50 degrees for the average high in this part of March. Yesterday, in the teens overnight and still below freezing for our day's high. I am beginning to wonder how far behind the farmers will be in the Midwest this spring. Have to wait for the frost to get out of the ground, and ground temp may not be conducive for planting until really late April this year.

Well, being at the top was sure fun while it lasted. Profit takers today. I think this one will be in a bit of a holding pattern until the Q1 results are announced. Regarding the weather, our local news put up the 7 day forecast on Monday and I totally cracked up. It had the words "Cold Spell" written over three days of the week. The high temperatures for those 3 days: 89, 78 and 79. To those who know what a Cold Spell really is I hope warm weather comes your way soon. Good luck to all. |
