If you believe in an afterlife, I'm thinking his wont be so HOT. Or maybe it will!

It looks like he now knows what exactly the god(s) want from mere humans and if there's an afterlife.
He died today.

I mourn for those who he disrespected so mightily at their funerals.
I grieve with the families of those he crapped hatred all over.
I bless those who blocked WBC protests so selflessly again and again.
I sigh in relief that one awful voice who spewed only hatred and hurt, has now been silenced.
I pray that his followers will shut the hell up and end this cycle of stupidity, hatred and harm.

I hope they have a huge gay parade in his honor.

Here's a wish that he had to stand in line to receive his just rewards.

I think that his methods actually helped push the momentum of the gay rights movement. Not that I am supporting or condoning anything he did, but no one in their right mind would want to be associated with his practices. I remember his site after Matthew Shepperd died and it was a wake up call to me that anyone could actually care--and could care enough to kill and wish people dead/harm just because they were gay.
I can't imagine what his family is going through. Losing someone is hard enough but believing that death is gods way of saying you're not worthy/going to hell.... Talk about decades of therapy.

During his funeral service I hope his family will not experience the hatred and lies he spewed during his earthly life because no one should experience the evil he and his followers practiced in the name of their faith. And may God have mercy on his soul. I'm not sure where I am on the spectrum of ideas about divine retribution, but perhaps we'll come again in the guise of those we persecute so Mr. Phelps may return as a gay person with an immensely loving heart.

Hmmm, I'm sure that they're heating up a seat for him in hell. JMHO, of course LOL.

His family/church ís asking the public to let them grieve his passing in private and not interupt his funeral and burial. Seriously.

Isn't picketing and spewing vile evil trash their absolute preferred, and per THEIR, reading of the bible the way to go? The POS

The one I read said there will be no funeral. www.cnn.com/2014/03/20/us/westboro-church-founder-dead/I have to admit, I do a little internal happy dance every time someone mentions that he's dead.

I cannot recall where I heard I heard ìt on the news yesterday. Unless Phelps is going to be cremated and kept in a Chock Full O'Nuts coffee can in some relative's home, he is going to need to be buried somewhere. A funeral does not necessarily require a full-blown church service. It can also simply be a grave site service. So some type of funeral will most likely take place.

A funeral does not necessarily require a full-blown church service. It can also simply be a grave site service. So some type of funeral will most likely take place. A burial can take place with no funeral. It used to happen occasionally at a cemetery where I used to work. Also, peoples' bodies can be taken from the place of their death to direct cremation if that's what's ordered, and there is no autopsy involved. The ashes can either be sent to the next of kin's residence, or arrangements can be made to just have them scattered with no family witnesses. You'd be surprised at how many peoples' mortal remains are (shall I say ) disposed of in these matters. Sometimes it's a matter of family indifference or lack of family at all, and sometimes it's a matter of family being located far away from the decedent's home, and not wanting the expense of transporting the body to their area.

Not my job to judge- it's God's job. Although I WOULD like to be a fly on the Pearly Gates when he arrives.
