In case the legal angle interests anyone: But in a wide-ranging exclusive interview with Capitol Media Services on politics, her tenure and her future, Brewer insisted she could run again if she wanted, despite a voter-approved constitutional amendment limiting elected officials to no more than two terms or any portion thereof. Brewer contends the first two years she served did not count because she was completing Napolitano’s term. Brewer said Napolitano’s resignation automatically made her governor in 2009 with or without her consent, meaning it was not “her” term.  So you were governor, but you weren't....  At least she was a real governor- shitty or not- unlike that Palin quitter/media whore. |

Guess I did not realize AZ had term limits. We do not in IL. However, a repub gov primary canidate is 'promising' to give us term limits for ALL state offices. Near as I can see he forgot that this will require, at a minimum, legislative action (fat chance0 or, most probably, a constitutional amendment (fater chance).
To me, the guy is an idiot blowhard who has NO clue what he can/cannot do as gov. I will NOT vote for him under any circumstances.

Blessings at least for Obama. I'd hate to be the president who gets to clean up his mess. Poor Hilary, it's going to be hard for her to reach back and blame bush.

I thought she was eligible because her first term wasn't a full term. Didn't she get the benefit of Napolitano getting cast into Homeland Security?

No ........ AZ State Constitution states 2 terms, or any part thereof, is the limit.

Seems to me Obama cleaned up his mess quite well. My stocks are back up and business is great- what's your beef with the current situation? What does Hilary need to clean up exactly? I think she will do just fine as a bulwark against another GOP administration coming in and trashing the economy again. |
