my hubby works nights/sleeps during the day. My kiddo is in college & works 2 jobs. it's really the only time they see each other & get to talk about what's been going on. Even if they didn't have those schedules, it would still be wonderful.

Breakfast, I rarely go out.
I go out for lunch with my boss once or twice a week. There are a LOT of restaurants around so we switch it up, but our most frequently visited places are Greek's Pizzeria, Paradise Cafe, and Au Bon Pain. Usually spend $5-$15, including tip.
We don't go out for dinner often, but get Chinese takeout or Qdoba (mmmm queso) a few times a month. Usually $15-$20 for the two of us.

Don't spend a lot on eating take-out food. Get a pizza from my amazing local place once (or sometimes twice) a month.
No McD's anymore or other 'name brand' fast food. McD's food or KFC is garbage to me now. I "might" get BurgerKing occasionally, but that's about it.
We have a local burger drive-in - that makes the most amazing burgers - it's a family owned drive-thru that's been in my city forever - the original owners opened it in the '60's and it's been in the same location since - now owned by their grown children. People have tried to copy their special recipe/sauce, but it's never been matched. I'd drive the distance for one of their triple burgers - and their fries & 20 flavors of home-made milkshakes are out of this world.
Second to them is "Five Guys - which I might frequent once a month or once every two months.
I find most "fast food" garbage aside from those 3 places.
(I'm seeking out a new Chinese food take-out/delivery place since I moved here 4 yrs ago. Haven't found a good one yet - just one Sushi bar - which was so-so.)
I guess I enjoy my own cooking enough that I don't spend a lot on take-out.

We average about twice a week- once maybe pizza, and another usually a lunch out on the weekends running errands. It's a lot less eating out than it used to be for us. Mostly because it's too much work to eat out- the traffic is horrible around here, so if we go out around dinner time we will be stuck in traffic, and then wait with the same crowds before we can get seated. It's just easier to eat at home nowadays.

We eat out way more than we eat in. DF eats lunch out every day.

I eat out at least once a week for a work meeting, can be breakfast, lunch and very occasionally dinner. The company pays for it, so it costs me nothing. Since I get to do that, it makes it easier to bring my lunch the other days. I always keep cheese, crackers, nuts and fruit here in case I don't have any leftovers to bring. Also, it's been SO DAMN COLD this winter that I have no desire to leave the office if I don't have to. If I do buy, it's usually soup or salad from the local grocery store's salad bar. I work in a small town so we don't have a lot of options anyway.
We probably do dinner out as a family once every 2 weeks or so and some kind of take-out/pizza once a week. I'd say at least once a month DH and I will also have drinks and apps at a local bar, just the two of us. He travels a lot for work right now so he has to eat out way more than he'd like to, he is reimbursed for those meals, but he just feels like crap after a couple of days of restaurant food. I love to cook healthy food for our family, but coming home from work at 6pm and then having to make dinner does get old.
DD11 buys school lunch 3-4 days a week at $1.75, I try to have her pack at least once a week.

I forgot about McDonalds! I take the kids every payday and I make my shopping list while they play at the playground. They have Happy Meals, I get a frappuccino.

depends on shopping. Really. Mall, Wally World, Target, K Mart Sams etc..all 77 miles away. Shopping means road trip. Road trip means eat out. once or twice a month

Breakfast - home/office every day (both of us). Go out to breakfast maybe 3x/year Lunch - brown bag both of us(I go out to lunch maybe 3-4x/year, DH maybe 3-4x/year) Dinner - maybe 1x-2x/month at the local diner, DiBellas subs or Wegmans Pittsford.
We live way out in the country and work in opposite directions. We prefer to eat at home instead of getting back in the car to go out. I personally don't like eating out that much. Not because of the food just because I prefer to eat, get it over with and be home and do other things.
We cook as much as we can and make enough to eat during the work week. I cook a lot on weekends and make up salads and things to take to work.

Food and trying new restaurants is our hobby so DH and I eat out 3-4 times a week to the tune of ~$100+/week. We brown bag for work. On the occasions where we slip up, we eat oatmeal or buy something quick at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I buy items that are $2-3 there.
We read up on Eater, DCist, and some other local blogs to research new places to eat, happy hours, typically local chains or hole in the walls. We will try everything and anything, the more unique, the better. We zoom in on the things we can't readily make at home, or the most exotic thing on the menu. We use Groupon and Living Social often as well.
Our food budget is $600/month for two adults. This includes groceries.

We go once a week during the school year . . . either Saturday or Sunday for lunch. We go to the typical chains--Ruby Tuesday, Applebees, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Styx. We have a couple of local places we like to go to, but they are comparable to Cracker Barrel. I know you guys don't consider any of these places really restaurants, but I have simple tastes. I typically grab some sort of fast food when I do Saturday School because I always do errands afterwards. Often it is the pizza or hot dog combo at Costco so I can buy gas at the same time. Their hot dogs are really good if you eat hot dogs (I do so don't explain to me what's in them . . . I work hard to forget). DH goes occasionally out to eat with my DIL . . . usually once a month. They hit his favorite sushi place, where he spends $100 - $150 on lunch for the two of them. That still freaks me out.
