Waffle tacos- seriously. www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-taco-bell-breakfast-20140224,0,2657154.story They want to go after McDonalds- but how can a place named Taco Bell be seen as a breakfast destination- might as well be Captain D's or Pizza Hut breakfast- well come to think of it a lot of Taco Bells are Pizza Hut hybrid joints- so- hate to see what that half comes up with in the AM. Don't think I will be out that late that drunk

What's wrong with a waffle with eggs and bacon or sausage in it? And syrup? Sounds like breakfast of champions to me.
And why is McDonald's any more "breakfast destination-like" than Taco Bell?
I'll say this for Mickey D's: their coffee is quite good. It will be interesting to see if Taco Bell can get that right?

Apparently...waffles are pretty popular as a breakfast item. Many people already put sausage or eggs on them already. I guess folding the waffle into the shape of a taco with above said items is just an outrageous idea that EVT doesn't approve of....

You think Mexican's don't eat breakfast?
But serously no self respecting Mexican eats at Taco Bell so the question remains can Taco Bell sell breakfast to Americans?
When I worked in a downtown office building Cousins was one of my favorite lunch spots. When they started selling breakfast I was all for it. Not so much b/c I wanted to eat breakfast there but I wanted to have the option for soup/sandwich/salad stay available for lunch. They have to cover their overhead somehow and if the only way they can do it is by serving another meal - go for it.

Frankly, I love breakfast. I love breakfast food. I'd eat it 24/7, no problem. If Taco Bell wants to put that little chihuahua ratdog to work again peddling the first meal of the day, then who am I to stop them?

EVT's area must be behind, they've had breakfast at our Taco Bell for a couple months now. Seems to be doing about as well as any other fast food place that serves breakfast.

- If you order things al Fresca it's actually quite tasty and pretty healthy. I'd be all over an scrambled egg taco topped with pico de gallo for breakfast.

Confession. I love taco bell. I do too, although I can't remember the last time I actually ate at one. The only place I routinely visit that has a Taco Bell is a food court that also has a Druxy's, a "Pita on the Go", and a "Great Philadelphia Cheese Steak", and between the three of them, Taco Bell always gets beat out. It's a telling experience, however. There are dozens of restaurants in that particular food court selling sandwiches, pitas, Chinese food, Thai food, Greek food, Jugo Juice, delis, salad bars, etc., etc., and then the KFC/Taco Bell over to one side. Walk into that place any day during the week, you'll see maybe 5 to 10 people scattered in front of the various restaurants, and a lineup that stretches across the room and down the hall for KFC/Taco Bell. I'd bet you good money that the KFC/TB restaurant does more business than every other restaurant in the court combined. And for the love of sweet chunky chimpanzees, are some of those KFC/TB patrons fat. Morbidly, morbidly obese. Your joints ache and your heart pounds just looking at them. I realize psychiatrists deem it a mental illness in many cases, and it must be. I can't imagine doing something like that to my body. That's one of the other reasons I never eat at that particular Taco Bell. You behold the people in lineup and feel a mad urge to eat nothing except a small salad.

And you do know that KFC food is laden with MSG, right?
The KFC in my area has gone (for lack of better words) - to crap. I think since they've lost so much business with the Burger Kings, A&W's, McD's, et al, they've started re-cooking previously pressure cooked chicken.
Last time I got an order from there (about 4 yrs ago), it was horrid! The chicken was so dried out and disgusting - I know it must have been "left-overs" redone for my order.
I don't "mind" the Oriental food booths at most food courts, since you can see them preparing the food fresh (in most cases). I'd rather eat a fresh "SubWay" though - than most food court crapola kept heated on a warming tray for hours.
If I go to a Burger King or Harvey's I can get a burger "made to order". At "Harvey's", they also grill it fresh after you've placed your order - the patty isn't one they've had sitting for a while.
I still worry about the preservatives that most places might put in their "fast foods" - so don't get take-out that often.

But if I do go out for breakfast I am at least going to IHOP or Cracker Barrel. And I will agree a proper breakfast burrito is awesome. I like a good homemade spinach and mushroom quiche myself....
