Young baldy swims again this afternoon. He qualified his way from Jr. varsity to the varsity swim team and has now qualified for the conference swimming championship. He swims the backstroke.
We're super excited for him and wish we could be there. If he makes it to the state championship, I think Grandma and Grandpa are going to make a road trip. |

I hope he makes it to states. Even if he doesn't place at states, its a wonderful experience.

For a second I thought you were talking Olympics. I'm so out of touch, I haven't watched any of the footage. Yeah, um swimming outdoors in the winter kind of sucks.....  You missed a great hockey game this morning. |

I think the best I saw was some of the figure skating on a TV in a deli while I waited for a meatball sub. I suck.

Yeah, WWBG. In the interests of saving a few bucks, Putin combined some of the events. Swimmers now compete below the figure skaters spinning and jumping above on the FROZEN surface of the water. The speedy onset of hypothermia has really made the swimming events interesting.  |
