www.cbsnews.com/news/michael-dunn-trial-state-rests-in-loud-music-murder-case/Time to bring on the imaginary shotgun. Guess we will see if the word of one intoxicated white shooter that fled the scene carries more weight than 3 black teenagers that were almost killed. What can I say- Florida. I have about zero faith in justice down there. Come on, America's wang, now is a chance for redemption. You have 2 cases where you can send a message that you don't get to murder people that bother you, and that self-defense has to actually mean more than just 'being afraid'.

from what I have seen/heard on the TV news or read online or in newspapers this guy is guilty as .....all get out. I OFTEN hear boom box, SUPER loud music from nearby cars, especially at stop signs & stop signs. It IS irritating but I ignore it and drive away ASAP. Since this was a convience store stop the guy SHOULD have just left.

We're not all gun happy and short of justice down here. This guy had zero reasons for remaining in the parking lot (aside from the fact that his girlfriend was inside buying wine). He could have and should have rolled up his windows or left and found another store. These full-of-hate-and-looking-for-a-place-to-unload-it types makes everyone look bad. I don't like the music either, but I'm not going to challenge anyone on the lyrics or the volume.

EVT - In your Florida hating mind....what punishment (if any given) would be sufficient for you to say..."Damn...I was wrong...he got what he deserved!"?
Seriously...somebody in Florida must've kicked your ass or stolen your girl. So much hate for an entire state.

EVT - In your Florida hating mind....what punishment (if any given) would be sufficient for you to say..."Damn...I was wrong...he got what he deserved!"? Seriously...somebody in Florida must've kicked your ass or stolen your girl. So much hate for an entire state. I like FL- it is their particular version of SYG that I have a problem with. This POS thinks he's the good guy- and that law is probably responsible for his actions- I doubt there is a person out there with a carry permit that does not know the law of self defense in their state (except 'ol George)- and if there had been a duty to retreat in place he just might have rolled up the window and sucked it up like a grown man instead of having a little liquid courage mixed with a little gun courage. That law makes it real easy for people to escalate a situation or over respond to a perceived threat. I'd be happy with murder 2, and 3 counts of attempted murder- enough to keep him in jail the rest of his life. Same with the guy in the movie theater. And if you think the law isn't a part of it read this case: gawker.com/5918397/man-who-used-stand-your-ground-law-to-defend-shooting-neighbor-over-loud-music-found-guilty-of-murderTX did it right- in FL he could have walked because of the way the law was written. In the footage he recorded, Rodriguez is heard telling a police dispatcher his life was in danger, but Johnson said it was Rodriguez who "lured" Danaher and two others onto the street "and threatened them by brandishing his gun." "Raul Rodriguez is a neighborhood bully who had a CHL, an arsenal of weapons and a knowledge of the law," Raul Rodriguez's defense attorney argued that his client is protected by the so-called Castle Doctrine because the altercation that resulted in the shooting death of 36-year-old elementary school teacher Kelly Danaher took place in the street. "He had a right to be (in) the street," said Neal Davis. "He was not provoking anybody. He was not engaged in any criminal activity. The (stand-your-ground) law is not only for home invasions. It was this law that made this man think he was justified to take his gun next door and start an altercation when he could have just called the police with a noise complaint. That is the essential problem- thinking you are free to start shit with anyone you feel like and shoot your way out if you feel 'threatened'.

Rolling eyes. That aside, I hope he's found guilty. I think there were many options available to him and he elected to provoke a situation, rather than avoid one. If he was so fearful of "thugs" or gangs, why did he bother to engage the teens in the first place? Rather like why would I be the only older woman to enter an elevator with a group of males/females I perceive as possibly threatening? Far better to wait until the next car is available, right? He could have waited it out, moved to another location in the parking lot, sought sanctuary in the store, etc. Instead, he elected to engage these "threatening" young men with tragic results.

His own words explain his actions: “This may sound a bit radical, but if more people would arm themselves and kill these (expletive) idiots when they’re threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior.” "The fear is that we may get a predominately black jury and therefore, unlikely to get a favorable verdict. Sad, but that’s where this country is still at. The good news is that the surrounding counties are predominately white and Republican and supporters of gun rights.” “I just got off the phone with you and we were talking about how racist the blacks are up here. The more time I am exposed to these people, the more prejudiced against them I become.” Another oppressed white man. www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/02/06/a-killer-s-racist-rants.htmlHe'll do real well in prison with a mouth like that.

Wow- he even testified the following on why he left the scene: "You have to understand, we didn't think anybody was hurt,'' he testified. "We were not in trouble with police. We might be in trouble with the local gangsters but did nothing wrong." Of course not- leaving the scene of a shooting is completely fine and legal. www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/02/11/michael-dunn-jordan-davis-trial/5390113/He's well rehearsed on the self-defense claim. "After the continued threat of 'You're dead, (expletive)!' now the door opens and this young man gets out. And as his head clears the window frame, he says, 'This (expletive)'s going down now!' " Dunn said from the witness stand, jabbing a pointed finger. "This is the point where my death is imminent," said the computer programmer and software developer, 47. "He's coming to kill me. He's coming to beat me." You're gonna die tonight Sounds familiar.

Discharging a weapon, multiple times, into an occupied vehicle and didn't think he broke the law?!?

He thinks he is the good guy in this- but I think he probably shot and killed that kid on blackout.
Not bother anyone he refers to the kid he shot and his friends as 'local gangsters'?
The Zimmerman case was at least cloudy enough to let him off- regardless of the fact he stalked the kid- but in this case there are no excuses- if he gets off and winds up dead I would give less than a shit. The man is a racist and a killer.

EVT1-after being found guilty of attempted murder of the three surviving young men in the car back in February but deadlocked on the murder charge, Michael Dunn was retried in September and found guilty today on the first degree murder charge. Good. Florida jury finds man guilty in loud music shooting

Hope you're happy and satisfied now. I am. And a jury of his peers found his actions to be totally criminal.

And about time a message was sent to people in FL unclear on the concept of self-defense.
Guess he can stand his grout in the prison showers now.
