I live alone, work full time, sometimes crazy hours, and one of my mostly dreaded chores is thinking what to cook and preparing meals. Cooking for one sucks! I have said for years that I wish someone would just drop off dinner at my house every day, and I wouldn't even care much what it was, as long as I didn't have to prepare it. Lol! So, last night on FB, a local catering company (small family owned, this is a very rural area) is advertising HOME COOKED AND DELIVERED DINNERS, Monday thru Friday for $7! They post the menu a couple weeks ahead of time and ask that you order by noon the Saturday before. The meal includes a meat/main dish, salad and dessert. I don't think I could justify spending the money 5 days a week, but I usually have a good idea of my upcoming weeks schedule so days that I work late, or seem super crazy, this would be great! I am definitely going to try 1 and see if I think it's worth it! I've been saying for years that someone should offer this service! I am very excited

You should definitely give it a test run! You might find that you can make 2 meals stretch into 3 - you never know until you try it. I'll be interested in hearing how it works out for you.

She won't do it. For starters, if there are income requirements she won't meet them and second, if I am not home, she only answers the door for Domino's and DB. And her other excuse will be her food allergies

That sounds fantastic! Even if you do it twice a week, that would be a huge weight off you!

The menu sounds pretty good but maybe a little high in calories, especially while I'm doing Weight Watchers, but, we'll see. I'm excited to try it!

The menu sounds pretty good but maybe a little high in calories,
Since you get the menus in advance, you can always compensate for the calories, either that day, or the day before or after.
I don't know what you do for lunch during the week, but if you know you're getting a great PREPARED meal that night, I'm guessing it would probably be easier for you to eat less / lighter for lunch that day, since you know you'll have a great meal to look forward to lol.
