I've gotten business load that is paid off right now. Several days ago I came across company's email that they had sent me that offering $400 referral bonus. I did refer someone to them and I know they got funded.
I had emailed the person who's name was on email. He was surprised that such email was sent out.
I had forwarded him a copy and realized his name was in the email but actual email was sent from the network. I had sent him an email where I had explained that this particular email with your name was sent from your company.
So what I want to know - if company sents these email out - are they must honor it?

Yes, they must honor it. But getting them to do so may be hard. Don't give up though. You worked hard selling your friend up the river for that $400.

I think it depends on how small the type is at the bottom of that $400 offer. Or how long you are willing to annoy the company's enforcers, Gino and Bruno.

I have proof (am email) that I sent to one of the associates asking how things are going with XX company. I had not heard back from them yet. However I have time because it is snowing and people are not too much.

I say read the fine print. The email should have a link to terms and conditions, if it isn't part of the email body. There may be exclusions, such as type of business, time period, etc. More than likely, you needed to tell the bank WHEN your friends signed up, or your friends needed to mention it was a referral. Either way, good luck. Four hundred bucks is a nice bonus.

I have an email that proves I had introduced them. However they are telling me it was their rep. I walked that rep into that business! How can I fight it?
