Uncle, Good pick with MU
This week I am hungry, so I am picking from YUM, HAIN, and GMRC.
Yum reports Monday and may surprise. GMRC also reports this week, but I cannot fathom a large bump in price from where it is now. Too many traders want to short it if it reports less than stellar earnings. HAIN has shown something like a steady 61% year increase, and I do not see the momentum letting up just yet. I am taking HAIN and riding this puppy upward. HAIN, Long.

Mod, even a monkey at a typewriter will eventually spell a word.
My word appeared this morning.
I've been long TQQQ since sometime mid April. This is my first trade in months! (I was actually hoping I could stay with TQQQ for a couple more months to get Long Term Capital gains, but no luck.
In my Roth IRA, I trade the URTY/SRTY pair, and I sold the URTY and bought SRTY. It's doing even better.

kadee,
You're right. My trading indicator says to close my short position, and go long. So, that's what I will do in my real life portfolio. Of course, I can't change my position in this game.
When we get drastic moves like this, especially on "changes of trends", the markets can swing wildly back and forth as it tries to determine what the next trend (up, down, sideways) will be.
So, I'm predicting a "dead cat bounce" mini rally tomorrow. No predictions beyond that.
It's very possible that I will be long one day, short the next for the next 5 or 6 trading days. If you catch it just right, it can be EXTREMELY profitable. (Catch it just wrong, and it eats you alive!)
This long one day, short the next can be done in a margin account. Cash accounts, it's more difficult because the SEC wants your trades to "settle" before placing another trade. I don't know why they make it difficult, but they do. So, in my IRA account, I trade half my account. That is, if I had $50,000 in the account, I'd keep $25,000 in cash, and use $25,000 to go short (or long.) Then, when the next signal comes along, I'd sell whichever position I had, and use the cash to go the other way. If the market really gyrates and starts swinging back and forth daily, I can't play along. I can sell my second position, but I have to wait until the first position settles before I can get back in. In calmer markets where the swings take a couple days to move one way or another, the half cash method works great.
Margin account, no problem.
I'm doing this with ETF's and not Mutual Funds. ETFs are much better for this kind of trading.
Anyway, today this trade (selling my TQQQ and buying SQQQ) actually made me about $12,000. Really, it was worth twice that. Because if I had just held the TQQQ, I would have had a $12,000 loss for the day. Instead, I have a $12,000 gain, so the trade was "worth" $24,000.
I'm boring you all with this because I have been long TQQQ since about April 20 of last year. You have undoubtedly noticed that all I've played in the game has been TQQQ. (Sometimes URTY, which is the Russell 2000 equivalent.) Very unusual to have a TQQQ/SQQQ trade last that long.

If anyone is interested, my real life trade is working pretty well.
I sold SQQQ at the open this morning, and bought TQQQ. SQQQ gapped down, and TQQQ gapped up at the open. So I wasn't quite as profitable as it looked Monday night. But, the action for the day was up for TQQQ, so that helped.
So far, my portfolio added about $10,000 of value. When I first went short I sold 2800 shares of TQQQ. Bought the SQQQ, and subsequently sold that. And bought TQQQ back again. 3100 shares. Net effect is I now have 300 more shares of TQQQ than last week.
So, now, let the bull market resume!
(I don't really expect that to happen... I expect more volatility. Whatever.)

2kids10horses maintains his lead as we move past the halfway mark. uncle23 is second and Ombud is third. Of eight players those three are the only ones with gains and the only ones beating the benchmark. Well, I backed the wrong nag this week. I did not think Green Mountain would beat as well as they did, then today they announced a big deal pushing Coca Cola products. Up 30% on the day, on top of yesterdays move up.
Einhorn of Greenlight, is sucking wind today on this winner. He was a known short and was killed the last two days, so I guess I am not in bad of shape as he is today.

uncle23 has taken over the lead but you can throw a blanket over the top three. kadee66 is now second and Ombud third less than a half point behind the leader. Six of eight are beating the benchmark. For those following my "Real Life" trade, TQQQ was up today. But at the end of the day, my trading system signaled a change of trend. So, tonight, I've gone back short. I placed orders to sell the TQQQ and buy SQQQ at the open tomorrow (Friday.)
So far, this has been a very profitable week.
Now, back to the horse race...

Great win, Ombud, congratulations on the fast close! you win the roses. And kudus to uncle and kadee for Place and Show! Good race!
Will this slight uptrend carry over to next week and provide some market smiles, or will the Grinch show up again?
