HA! You've been suckered!
This thread doesn't concern Justin Bieber at all. Just a breaking news story about the US Congress investigating a criminal conspiracy involving the president.
That's right. You've been duped into reading actual news!
From the press office of US congressman Frank Wolf: wolf.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/wolf-so-just-who-knew-the-cia-was-in-benghaziWashington, D.C. (January 28, 2014) – Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), author of legislation to create a Select Committee on Benghazi, today issued the following statement in response to comments by the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee that she was unaware of the CIA annex in Benghazi prior to the September 2012 attack: “Breitbart today reported that Senator Feinstein was unaware of the CIA annex in Benghazi before the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2012. Her comments come on the heels of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence report on Benghazi that neither AFRICOM nor its commander knew the CIA was in Benghazi. “If Congress didn’t know and AFRICOM and its commander didn’t know, then who did? Was the annex created at the direction of the White House? And if so, just who in the White House was coordinating the operation? ... A poster comments: www.intelligence.senate.gov/nsaact1947.pdf - According to section 503 in the 1947 National Security Act, the President may not authorize covert CIA actions without informing the intelligence committees of Congress.
www.fas.org/sgp/crs/intel/R40691.pdf - In 1980 this was reigned in with legislation that gave the president the authority to limit advance notification of especially sensitive covert actions to eight Members of Congress aka the gang of eight.
This is who the gang of eight are: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gang_of_Eight_%28intelligence%29 The gang of 8 includes Sen. Feinstein. If her testimony is true, the implication is that Pres. Obama (or somebody in his office) violated the National Security Act. Interest new revelations, at any rate. It seems like the scandal (whether or not it actually is a scandal) still has some teeth. Wolf claims to have 181 cosponsors and some very notable endorsements for his inquiry.

'JUSTIN BIEBER Knew The CIA Was In Benghazi'
You got my attention with your palmbeachpaul-style headline.

'JUSTIN BIEBER Knew The CIA Was In Benghazi' You got my attention with your palmbeachpaul-style headline. I had no choice. The original headline dropped like a rock to the bottom of the listing with three views in half an hour. I put the new headline in 5 minutes ago and we're up to 22.

You need to step up your game.

And if your answer is "empty posturing", how are you so confident? It seems from the facts presented that somebody in the White House very clearly broke the law.

You are as bad as paul. We do not know at this time the president was involved or if there was a conspiracy. Done with this thread until more information is available.

Paragraph (e) of Section 503 defines covert actions. The mere existence of the complex does not constitute covert action.

Paragraph (e) of Section 503 defines covert actions. The mere existence of the complex does not constitute covert action. That's a fair point, but what besides covert action is left? As the article indicates, Congress didn't know about it. AFRICOM didn't know about it. Sen. Feinstein didn't know about it. That leaves... who? I think Rep. Wolf's grievance is warranted: Who did know about it? Who set it up? Who was running it, and what was the CIA doing there?

There is a House committee set up to investigate the situation. I see no need to set up another committee to investigate it.

You failed miserably in bringing in the masses, notwithstanding your clueless on time zones. BTW I fixed two plugin compatibility issues on my Board with no help. My aspirations to be your evil twin are coming into fruition.

No, No, No. One no smiley's in certain areas of my Board for me, Moon had them I didn't, well I fixed that one. The second encompassed two template tweaks and a compatibility issue with a plugin. And again I fixed that one. And I kept the template tweaks.

There is? There is. Correction: there was. It was a Senate committee, and the Executive Intelligence Review has this to say about it (bold by me): Jan. 16—The Democratic-controlled Senate Select Intelligence Committee, chaired by Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), yesterday released its report on the attack on the American mission and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, of Sept. 11, 2012. The Democratic majority, in its views appended the end report, not surprisingly exonerates President Barack Obama of any responsibility for the attack and for his attempted cover-up of the fact that it was carried out by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), his allies in the overthrow of Libyan leader Qaddafi. The additional views of Committee Vice Chairman Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), on the other hand, document the Obama Administration's continuing obstruction of the investigation.
In response to the release of the report, Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) issued a statement pointing out that "the report ... fails to even broach the subject of just what the CIA was doing in Benghazi," and renewed his call for the creation of a House Select Committee: "We are never going to get all the answers to what happened that night until there is a House Select Committee that can reach across jurisdictional boundaries, compel testimony and documents that the administration continues to withhold from the Congress, and protect those who may want to testify about the events of that evening."

Well fine. But it is a senate committee, and its interest in the Benghazi affair seems to have ended with the release of the Jan 16 report.

I referenced the House committee that also is currently empowered with oversight responsibility for this incident.

And what, if any, conclusions has that committee drawn about the incident? Obviously, after hearing testimony including closed door sessions, not the conclusions that a member of the House who has not heard all the testimony wishes them to draw. I guess if the committee doesn't draw the conclusions you want, create new committees until you find one that will do it for you.
