Winter Weather Picks Anyone?

I'm NOT a stock picker, but I have an account I play with.  I bought Netflix on the absurd notion that the "Polar Vortex" and heavy snowfall may impact earnings-- and it was a blind gamble.  I'm not unhappy with it.  I cannot substantiate my theory- but earnings are soaring because subscribers are soaring- you gotta figure some of that is due to the fact that you gotta leave the house to get to Red Box.

I've been toying with other ideas- like looking at how a baby boom might grow some companies- say in October?

Yes but you have pull your pickup with your RV..Hard to do a lot of local stuff.. Set up the rc..expand it and go in town for play...  I Put 500,000 miles over 20 years on my rv...

Well, I thought I'd revisit this thread since I sold the stock this morning. Awhile back, I thought this was going to be a catastrophic mistake-- well, a mistake anyway. Didn't invest enough for it to be "catastrophic". Anyway, for the record, I bought this stock on January 21 and sold this morning. Not too shabby. Officially made 31%. Not a bad six month bet.

BiMetal and TyFighter have been talking about KOG a lot lately. There are a couple of other Bakken plays that Tyfighter has that could be decent plays as well. There was just a huge gas line explosion in the Ukraine, Russia has cutoff gas to the Ukraine, Lybia, Iraq, Syria, all a mess. Iran could very well be next... Summer starts June 21, it's looking like it's going to be one for the history books.

Personally, I'm in a holding pattern, just waiting to see what the next couple of weeks bring. Inflation has accelerated, officially, the FED could follow suit with the Bank of England in announcing a rate increase sooner than thought. There is also a ton of margin debt in the market that could compound all the points I've listed here. I just see it as a good time to play wait and see.

You're not going to have to wait much longer.  The question of course at that point is will institutions remain solvent long enough to pay you back?

NFLX , is a short. The officers are heading out the doors . Compare earnings to rising cost ,  Way over valued. Bigger fish Competition Amazon , google and others . ISP problems . IMO
